Auto parts store owners realize dream

Cassie and Jeff McGuire are realizing their dreams.

The couple recently bought the CarQuest auto parts store in Meeker.

Cassie said Jeff always has wanted to be in business for himself, and for her, an auto parts store was the most logical choice.

“Other than the two years I worked at the extension office, I’ve always worked in auto parts stores,” she said.

Cassie is certified Automotive Service Excellence in auto parts. Jeff studied mechanics and auto body repair at Wyoming Tech. They also have the help of two employees. Bob McGuire, Jeff’s dad, and Chris Colflesh.

Cassie said they’ve added some new merchandise and more equipment to build hydraulic lines more efficiently. They also purchased a mixing machine for auto body paint.

“We can match about any color,” Cassie said.

The McGuires have lived in Meeker for some time, and Jeff is a Meeker High School graduate. The store is across the street from Town Hall at 314 Market St. and is open Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
