As described on Amazon, the book “profiles a new set of diverse organizations — from The Cheesecake Factory, Ernst and Young, and Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts to Griffin Hospital, John Robert’s Spa, and Men’s Wearhouse — that have redefined their businesses by embracing “The Disney Way.”
Capodagli was went into detail on some of the examples listed in the above description and explained how the “The Disney Way” can be applied to any operation seeking success.
One of the concepts Capodagli stressed was establishing core values to ease the decision making process.
“When values are clear, decisions are easy,” he said.
But the values can’t only exist at the top — all the way down the ladder, to each and every member of an organization, beliefs must be instilled and held with sincerity.
“Believe in your values,” he said. “Believe in your people.”
Love was also emphasized. Love for customers, employees and self.
“Love is the real pixie dust,” Capodagli said.
