Sunday, June 25

12:26 a.m. At the Davis House, officers responded to a drunk man that was passed out and reeked of liquor. A taxi took him home.

12:31 a.m. Near the Craig Cemetery, officers responded to a report of a motorcycle accident.

1:03 p.m. On the 400 block of East Fourth Street, officers responded to a report of a repeat verbal disturbance by a woman’s daughter-in-law who was yelling at the woman’s granddaughter and was not supposed to show up without an officer. Officers contacted them and found no crime.

2:04 p.m. On the 1400 block of Sage Street, a caller complained of two neighbor dogs who attempted to jump a fence to attack a female party who was walking by the location. The caller reported the dogs’ owner came out of the house and started to yell at the female. Officers talked to everyone involved and found no evidence of a crime.

4:07 p.m. At Walmart, officers responded to a report of a theft of a wallet that was taken from the bench next to the Redbox DVD rental machine, where the wallet’s owner had set it down.

4:50 p.m. On the 2000 block of B Street, officers responded to a report of a suspicious male party, described as 19 or 20 years old and six feet tall, who parked a white Chevy Blazer by the duplexes, then got out and ran up the road. The caller was suspicious because of previous thefts in the area.

5:08 p.m. At City Market, employees turned into officers prescriptions and a duffel bag that had been left in the pharmacy area for a couple days. Officers contacted the owner of the duffel bag and prescriptions and he said he didn’t need the items.

Monday, June 26

3:02 a.m. On the 100 block of Hillside Terrace, officers responded to a report of criminal mischief. A red car allegedly drove by twice and hit a mailbox. Officers found no other damage to vehicles or other mailboxes.

8:07 a.m. On the 900 block of Van Dorn Drive, officers responded to a report of vandalism. The caller’s mailbox was broken, though it didn’t appear it was hit by a car.

9:11 a.m. On the 600 block of Ledford Street, officers responded to a report of a theft. A purse was stolen out of a silver Kia Spectra that had possibly been left unlocked. The purse was found in the backyard of a home on the 700 block of Stout Street, but its contents were not found.

5:48 p.m. On the 800 block of East Victory Way, officers responded to a car crash. The male driver fell asleep, drove into the ditch in front of A1 Laundry, then went airborne, struck a Harley that was on a trailer and then struck the AI Laundry’s business sign, causing significant damage. The driver of the vehicle was cited for careless driving.

7:29 p.m. On the 1100 block of School Street, a caller reported that a neighborhood kid stole some items from their child, and also kicked their car, leaving a dent.

7:31 p.m. At City Park, officers responded to an incident involving an ongoing child abuse case.
