Alicia Thompson

Alicia Thompson has been accepted into the Guy T. McBride Jr. Honors Program, which leads to a minor in Public Affairs for Engineers at Colorado School of Mines. She is the daughter of Rocky and Patty Thompson of Craig.

Thompson was among 33 students selected for the program. Selection is based on academic achievement, extracurricular and community activities, leadership potential, commitment to public service and communication skills.

Thompson graduated from Moffat County High School in 2005 and is pursuing an undergraduate degree at Colorado School of Mines. The Guy T. McBride Jr. Honors Program at Colorado School of Mines is a 24-semester-hour program of seminars and off-campus activities culminating in a minor in Public Affairs. All students in the program must complete a practicum — an honors thesis, an internship or study abroad.
