Robert Keith Eggers
August 19, 1946 ~ June 16, 2020
Robert (Bob) Keith Eggers was born on August 19th, 1946, in Oberlin Kansas to George William Eggers and Elizabeth Elnora Eggers. Robert had six sisters and three brothers. Robert married Debra Herrewig on January 28th, 1974. They had two children together, Robert and Erin. Robert and Debra were later divorced. Robert married Edie Hay on May 28th, 1983. He became the step-father to her five children, Michael, Mark, Matthew, Christopher and David. Robert was an Army veteran following in his father’s footsteps. He received a Purple Heart for injuries he sustained in Vietnam. Bob worked on the construction of both the Hayden and Craig power plants. He had several construction jobs before being hired by Tri-State in 1990. He retired from Tri-State in 2008 after 18 years. Bob loved hunting, fishing and camping. He was very active in the VFW and was a life member. He served on VFW Honor Guard to make sure our veterans received the recognition they deserved. He loved to watch the history and wildlife channels. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed gold panning. He played on a dart league for several years and also enjoyed jig saw puzzles. He especially enjoyed visiting with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Janice Russ. He is survived by sisters Sandra Snyder (Don), Jeanie Ferguson (Al), Pam Mead, Patricia Weaver (Wendell) and Lula Coryell. He is also survived by his brothers Ralph Coryell and Frank Coryell. Bob also is survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
