Joseph was born in Craig, CO. He was the son of the late Pete and Myrtle Kendall of Craig, CO.

Joe attended Moffat County High School in Craig, CO.

Joe was a heavy equipment operator in the Coal Mine and Construction industry for 39 years. His passion was operating the family dragline and later owning and operating his own dragline.

He enjoyed building models, RC cars, fishing, camping, gardening, and barbecuing.

Joe was a man who could fix anything, and he was always willing to help a friend or neighbor.

Joe was preceded in death by his father and mother, Pete and Myrtle; his older sister, Wanda (Wayne) Hagerty; great nephew, Dustin Hagerty, and son-in-law, John Swanson.

Joe is survived by his daughters, Jennifer (Vicki) Tafoya of Grand Junction, CO, Christina Swanson of Grand Junction, CO, Andrea Kendall of Lemmon, SD, and Shantel Kendall of Grand Junction, CO; sisters, Marie Rader of Grand Junction, CO, Connie (Dennis) Kuenning of Craig, CO, Patsie (Jim) Pike of Fruita, CO; brother, Richard (Gayle) Kendall of Craig, CO; grandchildren, Andrue, Jacob, Michael, Lillyona, Chelsea, and Liam.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 5th, 11 a.m. at Brown’s Cremation and Funeral, 904 N. 7th St. Grand Junction, CO.

Celebration of life to follow at Hawthorne Park, 400 Gunnison Ave at 1:30 p.m.
