The family of James Elverton Solace would like to announce the passing of their loved one Saturday October 23 at his home in Fruita. He was 92.

Jim was born in Craig, Co to Alva and Gladys Solace. He met his wife Delores in Maybell, CO and raised a family of four.

Jim served in the Army from February 1951 until October 1956 and was honorably discharged as a corporal.

Jim was a caring person who was always willing to help someone in need. He loved to camp, fish, listen to old country music, eat ice cream, and spend time with family.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents and brother Fred Solace. He is survived by wife Delores (Trevenen) Solace; Children Jeanie Williams of Centennial, CO, Jim Solace of Craig, Janet (John) Pedersen of Loma, CO, and Judy (Verm) Barnes of Fruita; sister Jean (John) Mack of Aurora, CO; sister-in-law Marie (Fred) Solace of Arizona; 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer’s Association or Hope West.

Graveside service will be held at the Veteran’s Cemetery in Grand Junction on November 12th at 3:00 pm. Palisade Funeral Home Directors.
