Blogs home Taiwan and thoughts related
Welcome
Welcome to a blog about my trip to Taiwan. You can read more about the trip in a well-done story by the Craig Daily Press' Bridget Manley in the Tuesday, March 25, 2008 edition. This is my first blog. Within the last year I've started to pay more attention to blogging online, mostly sports or religious issues catch my interest. I also found out how to get a free Mac Book Pro through a blog last year (joshclark.com). Sorry the deal is now over or I would tell you more about it. I hope to fill you in on my travels throughout the week I spend in Taiwan, but I will certainly get off the topic. Thanks for reading and let me know what you think. Now I'll write a little bit about my traveling partners. TJ Dickerson is the regional director for the Rocky Mountain Region of Young Life. He makes this trip every year with several others from the RMR. He is my boss and he also was the pastor for my wife and me on Aug. 12, 2006. Teej is 6'7" but is certainly a gentle giant. He has always been encouraging to me during my time as a Young Life director. Encouragement is something I need from now and then. As the director of a ministry, I sometimes feel like I'm always giving, but rarely receiving encouragement. Pats on the back are not really something I expect, but my time with TJ is always good because he helps me look at the bright side of life. Dan Dangler is the area director from Aspen. Dan has done some great things with the ministry in the Roaring Fork Valley. Young Life is designed to be a relational ministry not only with the youth we reach, but also with the community that supports us. Dangler has really taught me a lot about truly being relational. Todd Laws is the area director from Delta. Todd is the longest tenured of all of us, more than 20 years. He is one of the strongest scripturally-focused men I know. The community of Delta loves Todd and I respect his perseverance and longevity in the ministry.
