Weight Loss Challenge - Day 25

So I worked out for 30 minutes last night while watching a movie, and it actually wasn't too bad! My legs were shaking by the end, but I still felt like I wanted to do more. Here's hoping this is the start of a something good!

My sister posted this story on Facebook today and I thought it would be good to share. The story itself is from about six months ago, but I really like the idea of it.

NPR: Interval Training: Good Exercise For All Ages

There are two main things I love about this:

  1. If shorts bursts of increased heart rate can really help "whip you into shape," then that's good news. I get overwhelmed thinking about having to pant on a treadmill for 45 minutes. But if I can do little bursts of high-intensity cardio, I will more willing to do it!

  2. How great would it be to involve our children in our workouts! Not only do you not have to find them care during your workouts, but they also are being active and see the importance of exercise. And it's fun for them!

I think that this idea could be great for all of us, even if we don't have "Mommy Boot Camp" classes in our town. We can use these ideas at home.

What do you think of this technique? How do you stay motivated in your workouts? Share your thoughts here!
