Weight Loss Challenge - Day 8
I weighed myself today for the first time since I began the diet a week ago and ... (drum roll please) ... I am down 2.8 pounds to 139.2!
I don't want to get too excited because I know that weight can fluctuate throughout the course of a day, but, let's face it, I'm pretty excited! Let's hope I can keep this up!
One of my challenges in keeping on track is peer pressure. It's like high school again. Whether it's actually spoken or not, I feel pressure to eat what's convenient (daily newsroom McDonald's and Kum & Go runs), what my family is eating so as not to have to create two separate meals or to eat restaurant food because that's where we're hanging out with friends. I am still coping with how to combat the pressure without my diet taking over my life.
So I wonder: how do I beat the pressure to make poor food choices? Sounds like another question for my friend Arin.
