Weight Loss Challenge - Day 39

I have been putting off blogging, I admit it. I have been in a rut. My weight has essentially plateaued, just creeping down slowly. And I have not been working out like I should.

I have lost a total of 7.4 pounds, which is encouraging, yes. But it's a daunting task to think I still have nearly 10 pounds to go. I was hoping by about this time, I would be able to see the finish line, but it's not even close!

I will stay on track with food and will try to get back on the exercise train, but I am losing motivation. I can't help but think, I'm OK with the weight I am right now, right? Maybe this is good enough...

Help! I think all of us dieters could use some inspiration right now. What words of wisdom do you have to share?

I am in very much the same boat. I've been doing WW since December. Not working out like I should, but actually doing good with the food portion. I'm down 13.5 lbs with 5 more to go. The things that have kept me going are small. I've found foods that I can practically go crazy on and feel full without using all my points. Examples include PLAIN popcorn and then I put my own seasoning combination of I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray and sprinkle seasonings…it's soo good. And all those Progresso soups that are 0 to 1 pt. per serving.
I also buy 1 pt. sugar snacks that I can have every day - I pretty much have a candy cane everyday. Find things to treat yourself, take days off (just be careful), and keep track of your moods/eating trends. Knowing your tendencies can help you plan for difficult days. Good luck Michelle!!!

when your weight plateaus, try changing your meals around, if you normally eat a small breakfast and larger portions for dinner, try reversing it. Don't eat anything after 6:00. Also more activities or changing the activities you're doing; mix it up.

I Lost a total of 120lbs. It took me nine months to do. It was easy but at the same time It was not easy. Those last 5-15lbs can be the most difficult to lose. Like dvoloshin said when your body hits a plateau you need to “trick” your body. Trick it by switching up the foods you eat, also portion size portion size portion size!!!! that was HUGE! instead of eating on a normal plate eat on what we would call a salad plate, and befor you eat dinner, I would say about 15-20 min drink 8oz of water. Do the same in the morning as well! Your mind has a hard time detecting sometimes if you are actually hungry or thirsty! :) so try drinking 8oz of water (could be a glass of tea too) in the mornings before you eat, and you may find yourself not eating as much after that glass of water due to your body actually being in need of fluids as well as food. After dinner if you feel the need or the urge to eat try drinking some fluids! BUT! make sure its nothing with sugar or (refine) sugar! have a glass of tea or the sugar free juice. Also protien! im sure you know that! but the higher the protien the better chance of it curbing your appatite and! will help as you are taking off those lbs turning it into lean muscle! :) Activity wise Switch it up! same thing! “Trick” your body! your body becomes used to your food intake and when it is and what it is, same as your active life! your body becomes used to it! so switch it up and trick your body :) I hope this helps some. It all comes down to what you are taking in and how to “Trick” your body to keep that weight coming off! once its off then you are on to your next task………….Keeping it off! which can be mor difficult than taking it off! Anyway I hope this helped some.
