- Blog Home: I told the old man that I had never been to the coffee shop before, and he elegantly interrupted and said, “Well, miss life begins where your comfort zone ends.” And I was forever inspired. Inspired to be uncomfortable in my comfort zone. And therefore inspired to write about this idea. I got the butterflies that day when he left the coffee shop. I get them when I write. In fact, I have them right now. Because, to me, butterflies remind me that I am still doing the things that make me nervous. The things that challenge my logic and take me on the road less traveled, the things that make me comfortable with being uncomfortable.
