This small town, has a few stop lights and only one double-lane highway. Yet, driving around this small town is something I miss when I am the big city. As you drive down main street, there is always a few people to wave to along the way, or someone to talk to at a stoplight. Not someone cutting you off or flipping you the bird, like in the city. And you cruise along to the tunes on the two radio stations in town. It seems that you are never alone during a drive around this small town. Sometimes when I drive around here, I wonder how I came from here and went to San Diego, the 7th largest city in nation. There was little thinking involved in this decision. My dream became a reality . The door opened and I walked through it. And I just went, knowing no one or anything about San Diego. I may have been only eighteen, but that was one of my bravest years.

And I am so thankful that the door didn't close behind me. I love returning home for the holidays and breaks, to share my experiences with those who haven't had those doors open for them. Oftentimes people walk right past this open doors or opportunities. And I have realized that these opportunities are everywhere, no matter if you are cruising on a dirt road or the interstate, it is just a matter knowing where to turn.
