Blogs home Comfortably Uncomfortable: discoveries outside of your comfort zone
Welcome Home
Being so far away from home has proven to help me grow as an individual. It has provided me with the independence to discover my own passions and goals, away from what is defined as normal and the 'right' path. I have found that this has allowed me to make mistakes and grow from them, to fall and get back up, to be lost and to be found.
After yesterdays journey I have realized that most of my life has been spent wandering. Whether it was wandering around the ranch looking for my brothers in the pastures, or around the cobble stone streets of Europe while studying abroad, or on the coastline barefoot. It seems that while pursing my goals, I always seem to wander off the designated path, which eventually leads to an unknowing coincidence. Such as a long-lost friend, a picture perfect moment, or a philosophical stranger. Today my adventure was returning to church. After many, I'll go next Sundays, I decided to finally get up, dress up and show up. Little did I know that this adventure would have me never wanting to leave the comfort of this parish. It was a comfort that reminded me of home. Even though I was surrounded by hundreds of strangers, I felt as if I was with family. I realized that the strong bond of my culture serves as a welcome mat to the home of many opportunities.

Should the Craig Chamber of Commerce revise its State of the County attendance policy to allow people to hear speakers without paying for a ticket?
