him and her

I have always wondered how women and men can be so different yet so compatible. While women gossip about relationships and celebrities over a nice Saturday manicure, men throw back beers and watch sportscenter on repeat. And if they are not watching sportscenter they are talking about sports. So where does a girl belong if she wants a manicure, a wholesome beer, and the latest sports update? That I have yet to find out.

As women we all bicker and complain about the absent-mindedness of our men, their annoying habits, and insensitivity. But at the same time we hold onto them and we are afraid to let them go. It is the steady demeanor of men that I look up to. Their subconscious ability to stay focused on the present and worry less about the future. They are constant while women are unpredictable. Men need women and women need men, the two are complimentary of each other. Men and women balance each other out. It takes a woman to bring out the sensitivity in a man and a man to bring out the strength in a woman. And when he is gone you miss your strength, when she is gone you miss your passion.
