  • ...A FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE EASTERN SAN JUAN
    MOUNTAINS...PRIMARILY FOR THE WEST FORK AND PAPOOSE BURN SCARS...
    UNTIL 10 PM THIS EVENING...
    .ROUNDS OF THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE UP FROM THE
    SOUTHWEST ACROSS THE EASTERN SAN JUAN MOUNTAINS THROUGH THE
    EVENING AS A POTENT STORM SYSTEM MOVES ACROSS THE REGION. FLASH
    FLOODING WILL BE POSSIBLE...WHICH COULD CAUSE EXTREME RUN OFF WITH
    MUD AND ASH FLOWS IN AND NEAR ANY BURN SCARS. THERE WILL BE A FEW
    STRONGER EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS WHICH COULD PRODUCE HAIL UP TO THE
    SIZE OF QUARTERS...WIND GUSTS TO AROUND 50 TO 60 MPH...AS WELL AS
    DANGEROUS CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.
    ...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM MDT THIS
    EVENING...
    THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR
    * A PORTION OF SOUTH CENTRAL COLORADO...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING
    AREAS...EASTERN SAN JUAN MOUNTAINS AND UPPER RIO GRANDE
    VALLEY.
    * UNTIL 10 PM MDT THIS EVENING
    * LINES OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE ACROSS
    THE AREA THIS EVENING. SOME OF THESE STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF
    PRODUCING LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL WITH FLASH FLOODING POSSIBLE
    SHOULD ANY OF THESE STRONGER STORMS IMPACT THE WEST FORK OR
    PAPOOSE BURN SCARS.
    * EXTREME RUN OFF WITH MUD AND ASH FLOWS IN AND NEAR THE BURN
    SCARS WILL BE POSSIBLE.

    THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR
    * PORTIONS OF EAST CENTRAL COLORADO...SOUTH CENTRAL COLORADO AND
    SOUTHEAST COLORADO...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS...IN EAST
    CENTRAL COLORADO...EL PASO COUNTY AND TELLER COUNTY AND THE
    RAMPART RANGE. IN SOUTH CENTRAL COLORADO...FREMONT
    COUNTY...SANGRE DE CRISTO MOUNTAINS...WET MOUNTAIN VALLEY AND
    WET MOUNTAINS. IN SOUTHEAST COLORADO...HUERFANO COUNTY...PUEBLO
    COUNTY AND WESTERN LAS ANIMAS COUNTY.
    * UNTIL 6 AM MDT FRIDAY.
    * SHOWERS ARE LIKELY...COUPLED AT TIMES WITH ISOLATED
    THUNDERSTORMS. THE STORMS WILL HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE
    LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL.
    * THE GREATEST THREAT OF HEAVY RAIN WILL BE THROUGH THE NIGHT
    TIME HOURS.
