So Ranger520.... What I take from your last post is that It is stupid to put every decision made by our elected officials to a vote in November.
And I quote Ranger520 again...... "Then why don't you put it on the general ballot and see. If it passes, it passes, and if it doesn't, perhaps then some of the people that have been entrusted with our money will pay more attention to what is written in pages like this." Or did you not say that????
I'm going to use one more of your quotes from your last post...."I have never read so much stupidity come from so few people in my life." I had not read so much stupidity either (until I started reading your posts) Have a nice day!!!!
Dave, One more correction for you. I think the only voters that are within the fire district are able to vote since they are the only one's who are taxed for the fire service. I have no clue as to those numbers.
Ranger520 This is what I think..... We the taxpayers of Moffat County should vote on wether or not Shadow Mt. gets water and sewer upgrades and new sidewalks and streets this November. Since I don't live there I can care less if you have water, sewer or paved streets. Now also if you live in the city, a person is paying taxes to the city and the county for all the repairs to your little neighborhood. Now I'm going to quote you "Then why don't you put it on the general ballot and see. If it passes, it passes, and if it doesn't, perhaps then some of the people that have been entrusted with our money will pay more attention to what is written in pages like this."
What do you think should we put it to a vote in November??
Craignative You are right, Rifle does not have a hospital close. But you are wrong about the distance from residential developments. I looked at Google Earth. The distance from Rifles training building and the trailer park to the northwest is 775ft. The subdivision to the northeast is 860ft and one house is 636ft away. I then looked at the proposed site here. I do not know where the air intake is at the hospital so I measured from the center of the hospital to the south 740ft because the fire board stated 740 ft in their article and I think they did say the location would be west some also. The closest house in overlook is 1060 ft away. I know these are just approximate measurements. I really don't think the hospital is going to be too close.
Have any of you ever seen the training center in Rifle?
Bet you drove right by it and didn't even notice. Can't be any worse then the old Signal Hill in looks or property values or any other entrance into Craig. Might just improve the looks.
I hope when they build this store the engineers learn from the mistakes made on the last two. They need to realize some people around here drive 4 door, full bed pickups. With the way they designed the entrance off of Victory Way and the one off of Yampa, if a full size pickup is parked in front of the store you can't get in if it is park towards the entrance end of the store. Also the snowplowing nightmare with the way the islands stick out there in the road. I think it would be better without those entrances. At the North store there is no way to turn North from 9th onto Yampa without crossing a double yellow line. I always thought crossing a double line was a traffic violation, maybe not. The same mistake was made at the new hospital in regards to parking, Try to park a full size vehicle and then try to back out with cars on both sides of you and cars behind you in the next parking line. Parking spots are to narrow and to close to the next parking line.
Ranger520, Quote from you "I know enough about both sides to post the opinion that I have" So I'll ask gain.....share your information you know, so all can form their own opinion. I also form my opinions also from what I learn. Maybe I don't know the whole story, so inform me. Change my opinion or try to.
Just trying to see how you formed your opinions, how you got your point of view. Thought maybe you would share your reading material. If you want people to share your views on this subject you need to prove your point. Or are you afraid to be ridiculed and made fun of like someone else posted?
Ranger520, Could you give us a list of you reading material about Fire Departments and Training buildings? I would like to read these also. Or are your opinions formed by stories in the paper and rumors at the coffee shop or power plant?
Ranger520, I thought you were making an informed opinion when you express your views about the Fire District. I looks like through your last post that your opinion is just the opposite, just an uniformed rant. If you don't go to the meetings, how are you forming an accurate opinion? Maybe until you know both sides you should close your sphincter and shut your rectum. I don't form an opinion until I know all the facts. Have a good day...
ranger520 I haven't seen a paranoid rant either but....insider1313 said in his last comment he was,,,,,, quote.... "here is where I go into a paranoid rant". So I thought he would make a video on you-tube and show it to us. Never to old to see something new!!! Are you?
