It is Baggs not Craig it this the Craig Daily Press? Not to mention that it is 6 man football. Doak Walker 3rd and 4th grade teams play with more than than six!
I see everyone is disputing what Councilmen Willems said but I have seen no facts to back up either side. If he misspoke then show data that proves otherwise.
Someday they will figure it out and move Grand Old Wet Days to the same weekend as Whittle the Wood. A few weeks makes a huge difference in our weather and the tourism draw for Whittle the Wood is way bigger. Combining the two would actually make a one of a kind event. Just look at the vendors who come out….every year there are fewer and fewer. Do something before it is to late. I am not saying that we can't have some events over Memorial Day to honor those who have served our country so bravely but the street fair and carnival should be paired with the YL car show and Whittle the Wood.
Leases are for suckers. In 10 years the will have dumped $600,000 to the county and have zero to show for it. I would hope they would buy their portion or just build their own facility.
I got a bridge they can lease too! Call 1-800-TRUTH4U
Ok I get it now…the $400,000 they annually contribute now should get them no special consideration. The board should listen more to the needs of the residential home owner instead of evaluating what is best for all parties. Thanks for setting me straight.
It is official. I will support the decision they make not because I consider it a great idea but because they are the most qualified to make those decisions. I doubt anyone on this forum has the expertise to make the call on if it is needed or not. Except for maybe saunders…..him/her still knows way to much to be an average tax payer.

Was alarming enough for the Wall Street Journal to cover it.

but as usual our paper prefers to spend month on articles voting for Moffat Counties best place to get gossip as opposed to news.
