Excuse me if I may, but the taxes we pay at the pump on gasoline are for road and bridge construction, repair and maintenance. Just like the social security trust fund, the transportation funds have been robbed also. Full of paper IOU's. there is no money.

We just got our new tax bills and they want us to pay more to build roads we've already paid to have fixed? When everyone gets a grip with what is REALLY going on you'll know where to point your aggrevation….Allard, Salazar, Bush…..then Mr. Ritter, he's clueless and just obeying orders.

The new 09 budget by Bush eliminates 408 billion dollars from MediCare. It cuts section 8 and low income housing. You think you've got problems now, just wait!

Inflation is caused by the Federal Reserve printing money against nothing. Everytime Bernake cuts the interest rate we get more inflation. We are about to enter hyper-inflation and many more will begin to suffer.

Get mad and give your senator a call….Allard is 1-202-224-5941, Salazar 1-202-224-5852, Ritter 1-303-866-2471. Keep in mind, these men work for us, they are paid by us, they have health insurance on our dime. wake up moffat county.

I beg to differ with the assessor or he needs to catch up. Due to the mortgage crisis in this country, the unavailability of credit, etc…….property values nation wide are DOWN and will continue to drop. The adverage 401K/pension fund will loose 35-40%, equity in home “gone”, value of your savings in the bank is cut by 25%

If this county added a 25% value increase on top of the new 8 mills than shame on them. Let them take your house…odds are, if you purchased recently you're upside down in value. Make sure you challenge them.

When will everyone wake up and realize you are working for the government 5 months of the year and here you happily voted in a hugh increase of taxes and the bonds for this project aren't even acquired yet.

We need a PTA with teeth. The citizens of Moffat County need to start invading the City Council meetings, the Commissioners meetings, the school board meetings, etc., and take over.

governments have no money…..the only money they have is yours/mine/ours.

    demand your money's worth!!!!

The influx of illegal workers is due to NAFTA, it hit Mexico first. NAFTA took their jobs before it took ours.

The government in Mexico is corrupt! So is ours. The media fails to show you the the rest of the illegals that are from other countries, millions of them also. The others not being shown are the ones taking the high paying tech. jobs. Don't be fooled. Our nation also used migrant workers.

I'll admit, it bothers me to NO END not understanding what everyone is saying and the demands, “mandates” put on us by our government.

I also understand the bigger picture. If you want to be angry direct your anger where it belongs….to those who signed nafta, cafta, spp, nau, etc., brought to us by both parties.

The only candidate raising the awareness of the “BIG LIE” of our government is Congressman Dr. Ron Paul, M.D. I encourage you to go to his web-site and check him out. His explanation of the economy and why we're here is dead on point.

Our government is banking on the fact that none of you are aware….lied to daily by the main stream media. Your only unregulated information is on the internet. Read everything from all nations, read the stock market (info is money). READ

Make sure you stay informed. Go check this woman's voting record…it's the only way to be sure you know what you're voting for and what you're going to get. Check her boss out too. Are they republican or democrate, etc. Same goes for presidential candidates, know how they've voted in the past. I'm sure many of you would be shocked to know the truth . An uninformed vote is a dangerous vote.

Your preaching more government regulation…..I don't think so. I'm sick of nanny state. Just “teach” your children well. It is NOT the states responsibility to install moral behavior into your children but each day more and more are giving their moral responsiblities to the state..

Parents get a grip and keep an eye on your kids…..if not you, who will? It is not my job to watch your children nor is my taxes.

Wake up and do YOUR job.

    Shout Out To The Commissioners,

Keep doing what you're doing. May I suggest that you put our reserves in gold/silver coins. Gold has increased 40%….stocks are down 40%. Do not buy bonds on anything right now. It is your duty to protect us financially. Hats off to you for doing what is right and I suggest you save even more…..take a look at what's going on in the markets…..we are facing a serious depression…has it occurred to anyone that the job sites in Craig are shut down? i.e., Kum & Go is borded up, Wallgreens is quiet and so is the project across from the move theatre.

The whole nation is facing serious problems. I hope no one has issued securities against our bonds of the new hospital and school. Bond values will drop 40% as well. The values of our homes, the homes across the nation will drop 25 to30%. We are not exempt from the turmoil in the financial markets not only in the USA but the world. We are financially tied with the world economy and all the economies around the world are collapsing right before our eyes.

Thank you Moffat County Commissions for taking your stand. Hold tight to it.

The criminal who sits in the WH filed a brief to the Supreme Court on Tuesday along side the gun control case telling the Supreme Court to rule against all guns…including hunting rifles, personal protection, everything.

I wrote an editorial a couple of weeks ago about this and it's coming true.

Call Allard and give him hell. Rep. Goode, R-VA filed a response to him yesterday asking him to repeal the brief.

We're in trouble if America doesn't wake up now.here and email the President…

Rep. Virgil Goode (R-VA) has sent the following letter to the White
House asking them to undo the huge harm they have caused the Second
Amendment with the brief they filed in the DC gun ban case.
    ––––––––––––-
    January 22, 2008
    President George W. Bush
    The White House
    1600 Pennsylvania Avenue
    Washington DC 20500
    Dear President Bush:
Your Solicitor General has just filed a brief with the U.S. Supreme
Court in the D.C. v. Heller case arguing that categorical gun bans of
virtually all self-defense firearms are constitutional if a court
determines they are “reasonable” — the lowest standard of
    constitutional review.
If this view prevails, a national ban on all firearms — including
hunting rifles — could be constitutional, even if the court decides
    — on ample historical evidence — that the Founders intended the
Second Amendment as an individual right.
I would ask that you direct the Justice Department to withdraw this
unfortunate brief and to replace it with an opinion which reflects
the right of law-abiding Americans to keep and bear arms.
    Thank you for your consideration.
    Sincerely yours,
    Virgil Goode

I totally do not agree with this. I praise our government for stashing bucks….we've been down this road before, a bust, and it wasn't pleasant.

You can have all the clothing stores you want in town but when the high paying energy development jobs leave who will have the money to buy the clothes? What we will have are just a bunch of empty buildings……seen that before too…..crash of 86 I believe it was.

Hats off to our Commissions for “remembering”. Every house in town was a HUD home. The US Dollar is collapsing at record speed and being prudent right now is the right thing to do.

Constitutions are written to restrain government. With all the voter fraud in this nation I wouldn't trust a vote. There are already cases of fraud being filed for Iowa and New Hampshire. Also, did you know 2 woman got 18 months for throwing the voter count in Ohio in the 04 election…gave it to Bush. They were sentenced this year.
