When dishing up ideas of what should be done, I hope everyone will remember the Cosgriff, and how that turned out.

Tammy Showalter 3 years, 7 months ago on Future of Craig Motel site uncertain

I agree with curious_reader12..... But let us not forget what that place looked like for MANY years. Then the present owner came in and if I am not mistaken was awarded for community improvement? There are alot of ugly places around town and I am sure if everyone with a property for sale next door pitched a fit, we would hear of many more. I know several people who have looked into buying that duplex who thought it was overpriced before the motel burned. The motel property is owned by someone who should just clean it up and then sell the prime commercial property they own, or ignore it and let the city do what they have to do, but why let anyone take over that responsibilty unless you just don't care? If it was underinsured that is not the fault of the city or the neighbors, but shouldn't the insurance money that was received go towards the cleanup?

" a Neenan supervisor noticed a deflection in a beam supporting a second floor "...excuse me, but this was noted and reported by several parents, who were ignored btw! Those involved know the truth....

Tammy Showalter 3 years, 7 months ago on Editorial: Park’s future in jeopardy

this reminds me of the negotiations regarding the safety center......IMO, we haven't done a very good job electing people to represent us. The VFW on the other hand isn't speaking for me, they are speaking for a population that I hold in much higher regard than the Craig City Council. How many veterans sit there? Or on the parks and recreation for that matter...those people are being paid with taxpayer money to push their own agenda....shame shame shame.

Tammy Showalter 3 years, 8 months ago on Nikki McLeslie: Is this best for our kids?

I am so glad to see this in print! The part about Richard Wildenhaus I have always wondered about. I am sure he is probably much happier elsewhere, he was treated as though he didn't matter also. It is sad that you left Nikki, but you too will probably be much happier. It seems this is the pyramid in Craig though...and now they want more money...to do what with???

Tammy Showalter 3 years, 8 months ago on Lieutenant governor makes Craig visit to talk education, literacy

so is Conroy saying if she is paid more she will be a better teacher? Personally I do not believe all day kindergarten is going to improve reading skills either.....everyone needs to just slow it down a notch and make sure each student is grasping what they are being taught. All this about you can't be held back is why 2 2011 graduating seniors can barely read.

Tammy Showalter 3 years, 11 months ago on Lois J. Stoffle: Disappointed with handling

I want to say excellent letter Mrs. Stoffle. My thoughts are with all those grieving this tragedy.

ranger520 can say whatever on here, I just feel sad for him or her to feel so opinionated and judgmental when no one "knows" what the circumstances were.
No reason to respond to me, please, I have nothing else to say on that note.

My condolences to all who lost in this tragedy. My prayers are with you.

On another note...it seems the rumors (the ones I heard anyway) came from EMT's...BIG SHAME on them and their lack of professionalism. They know who they are.
