seriously? my kids had issues with the internet working at MCHS. What they needed was a textbook to do the classwork with, the school won't buy books, but they will spend money on ipads that will be destroyed by those who appreciate nothing.....I say if you think an ipad is going to move mountains for your kids, then buy them yourself and be RESPONSIBLE, both financially and as a parent!

Sometimes what is right for some is just not right with everyone else. I question the point Mr. James is trying to make with his letter? Call me a snob, but what I have seen in my many years on earth is marijuana does impair you in more ways than one. And I for one have not seen an awful lot of responsible use. One look at the recent murder in Steamboat Springs and the reasons surrounding it, greed. More money for the school district isn't going to fix their spending issues anyway....maybe everyone should learn to live within the limits of the law and their own budgets for a change.

kids can't add or even count back change from a 5 dollar bill....what is an ipad going to do to fix that? I don't care who I piss off I am in agreement with Darrell Camilletti, if you don't have the money you don't have the money. I paid school dues and book fees and my kids didn't have books either, I bought them online, because my kids needed them. If the school district spent more money on education and less on admin and kissing political butt we might get somewhere.

Tammy Showalter 1 year, 1 month ago on Moffat County School District wraps up investigation into football team hazing incident

As I am ignorant of the facts, can someone tell me if school board members must excuse themselves from meetings where members of their family are part of the agenda? It seems as a matter of personal integrity they would excuse themselves, but is this legally required or do we in Moffat County sidestep the rules if we don't like them?

Apparently the law has a different perspective, and I am thankful that the school board and administration have NOT been swayed by some who think hazing is justified. I pray no one has been damaged to the point that we end up like Columbine. Everyone there was an innocent victim at some point as well.

I am shocked yet not surprised that coaches allowed this to happen. I am one of MANY who wonder how these kids can be so good and then get to high school and become the biggest LOSERS when playing the same teams. I hope EVERY adult is held accountable in what I see as criminal by a person in a position of trust. Parents get sent to jail for having arguments in front of kids so these "teachers/coaches"???? should not be allowed to get away with it. I admire the courage of these parents to buck the good old boy rules and stand up for what is not only right, but against the law. And for anyone who chooses to respond to my opinion with sissy or toughen up, I pity you and your limited mentality in advance. Where has respect gone in this world?

pffft.....he posted comments on HIS facebook page not the fire department's. I respect the fact that he chose to stand by his comments instead of cowering behind the threat of being forced off the board. How many sitting on the editorial board can say they have done that when facing a difference of opinion? Kudos Mr. Willems!!!
