I saw that Mr. Kinkaid was absent from Tuesday's Meeting. Is there any word on how he is doing? Concerned.

IMO, replacement of many within the DSS of Moffat County has been long overdue for many, many years. Very sad.

We plan on taking our family of six to Steamboat, as well. We are completely disgusted with the loss of Dr. Phillips.

    I agree Fourteener.
This monster really does not deserve to see another free day on this earth, as far as I'm concerned.
I am also very disturbed by his wife's position to plead for a reduced sentence as she has an infant son. I will be praying for that child's safety for a long time to come.

Officers acted in accordance with a “two-strike” policy that allows them to euthanize bears that have been tagged for having human contact once before.”
Although, I do feel it is sad the bear was put down, I think the decision made by those involved was the correct one. I have several friends and family in the neighborhood that have small children and pets. If anyone of you can guarantee, with certainty, the large bear would not attack someone, then you have a leg stand on but there is no way of knowing. Who's to say the bear wouldn't come back for a third or fourth time? Each time getting more and more comfortable. As a parent, I'm not willing to take those chances.

Had the bear harmed a pet or, God forbid, a child, then all would be blaming the DOW for not taking care of it in the first place.

I have to agree with WrestlinRockies. If there is sufficient evidence for Federal Investigators to be involved, retaining a capable defense attorney would be a good idea for Dr. Miller.

I am happy that this strong, courageous woman can put this behind her and move forward with her life. I wish her much healing and happiness.
As for Mr. Lenahan, may he be punished in this life and answer to God for his evil acts one day.
Not only am I disgusted by him but I am also disgusted by Amber's mother. How could she not protect her daughter better? Was she so desperate for a man that she would choose to turn a blind eye? Especially knowing that her 8 year old daughter tried to tell her what was happening. If one of my children came to me, I would not stop monitoring and asking questions until I found out the truth. What a horrible feeling for such a young girl to think she had no one she could go to. I feel her mother is just as much to blame as the sick man going to prison. I don't know how she can sleep at night.
