The “squawfish” has been renamed to pikeminnow about 15 years ago and is listed on the US Fish and Wildlife Service's Endangered Species List as Endangered of becoming extinct in the forseeable future. The various agencies that you refer to, are working under the guidance of a recovery plan that has been in place for more tha 20 yearsYou may contact FWS in Lakewood, CO for a status of the recovery plan. There are 3 other species of fish that are listed: humpback chub, razorback, and bonytail chub. All of these fish are in the Colorado River System, of which the Yampa is a part.

The fish cannot be delisted until they are recovered or become extinct..

I found that lighting, plus a mirad of other skills, make up the stagecraft trade called being a Stagehand, or Stage Technician. I started in the craft in 1963 as carpenter ABC TV scenic shop in Los Angeles. For the next 3 years I made the rounds of the union scenic shops in LA. I became an apprentice in Local 33, International Alliance of Stage Employees (IATSE). I became a journyman after 3 more years and the fun began!

I worked many shows and Head Electrian at most pf the theatres in the Los Angeles area. In 1993, My wife, Lauri and I, bought some property just outside Craig and built a house. Those skills that Iearned as a “shop rat” sure came in handy. I retired in 1997. Between Social Security and my Union pension, Life is pretty darn good im Craig, Colorado.

T.Wright's focus is ranching. He will represent ranching really well. But what about the rest of us. We need someone who will represent all of us. Take a long look at the rest of the candidates.

For the issue of the President's birth to be dropped. He has proven many times over that he was born in Hawaii. End of story.

While I don't agree with taxslave often, this time I do. Boehner is so full of it, I do not know how he got where he is. Probably playing golf. And Glen Beck…. Lier, lier, pants on fire!

Well, I think the people who are afraid of cougars should just pack up and go to a metro area, wherre it is safe from wildlife. And what should happen if a wolf is spotted within our community? All hell will break out.

als, have you ever stood in front of a mirror and spouted off some of your garbage?

Shooting a bear in it's den, lacks moral ethics. And just for a trophy. I support hunting for food, but this kind of wanton slaughter goes beyond sport.

     cmawest,

I am one of those retirees. But I came here when prices were down. So all I have to pay is food and taxes, of which both are getting out of hand. But I wouldn't move back to the city, even if I were offered $50 per hour! I don't fish much any more, but I sure take a lot of photograghs!

Why are you, the Editorial Board, second guessing the Court? And the Sheriff says he is a model inmate. Looks to me that the Judge was correct.

Stay out of the Court's business.

Well, you choose to live in rural Colorado. Deer, pronghorn and skunks come with the territory. If you can't handle the wildlife, move back to the city. We have our own deer herd in Western Knolls and they are not a problem.
