onewhocares 2 years, 4 months ago on Do you agree with Colorado Parks and Wildlife's decision to euthanize an adult male bear inside Craig city limits based on the agency's "two strikes" policy?

It seems to me that all those afraid to accept the fact we are no better or no different than the wildlife are the cowards. Wildlife demands food, sex and thriving environmental conditions (food & healthy water) to exist. So, how exactly are we "above it" or better than it? Isn't the need for food and sex, what drives man? I'll go a step farther and say we are considerably less intelligent than the 4-leggeds, the birds and fish, since we are the ones that have destroyed absolutely everything in our environments and created bombs to wipe ourselves out. (food loaded with pesticides, water with so many toxins there are too many to list here, air irradiated with I-131 from Fukushima & God knows what else)

Can you name one other animal that has basically annihilated itself on a global scale???? I didn't think so. Can you say "devolution" on a terrifying level by homo sapiens?

(One the religions separated man from the natural world, with the totally disillusioned & completely destructive concept we are "above the animals & are here to serve us" and once science began to alter what was all ready a perfect system, was truly the beginning to the end for all of us.) God, did not do this to us, our greed/stupidity & disconnection to the natural world did it to ourselves!!! Now, we get to live with the end result.

Let me understand this. This bear, simply because he is a bear and had the nerve to walk in a populated area, is considered a menace & danger to society (though he had never threatened anyone) yet there are countless sex offenders in this town that have destroyed multiple lives over & over & still live and walk freely among us, drug dealers all over the place getting the children hooked by 8th grade, Haliburton & Quiksilver here that have a history of polluting and destroying the environment (all over the world) using extremely hazardous carcinogens that poison the water systems and causing earthquakes where there never was, but THE BEAR WAS A THREAT????????????? Give me a break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like I said before, leave the last of the beautiful wild life alone, and start euthanizing all the stupid and disconnected people from the natural world.

I say, hunt all the stupid people and leave the last of the birds and animals on this planet alone (Sad thing is, I honestly mean this.) Anything remotely wild and beautiful to a few of us, must be destroyed by those who have completely lost their connection to this planet. Man never learns!!!

Joe did a great job writing this article, but I got to point out the irony; you guys are advertising for McDonalds on the same page as this editorial on the internet.

I seriously doubt much will change in this area until the community as a whole embraces the concept of getting Moffat County healthy. To start, bike paths up Thompson Hill, a path up through Loudi Simpson on the hillsides that is county property, walk/bike path up on the sand rocks area, just to start.

Sadly, the county leaders are more concerned about benefiting from gas/oil exploration than encouraging the health of its' constituents, which has been obvious for years & years with this article showing the outcome..

**I have been running & biking all over the place, but I have had very close calls getting hit by cars due to lack of a path on the shoulder of Thompson, stopped by out of state vehicles with men in them on the county roads in a menacing manner, and almost attacked by dogs. Most people aren't willing to take chances like that just to exercise.

onewhocares 2 years, 5 months ago on Letter: Obama's re-election could be doomsday

As someone who actually voted for Obama, I am now horrified at some of the very serious actions he has taken against the American people. For me, they are:

  1. Signing the National Defense Authorization Act on December 31, 2012, under every ones noses when the people were too worried about partying on New Years Eve & not worrying about our Constitutional Rights being taken away just like that. Most people still don't know what has actually occurred.
  2. Stopping the space shuttle program (destroying a whole town in Florida) & giving the space program over to Russia.
  3. Not enforcing the borders.
  4. Under his administration, the National Security Administration is building a complex 3 times the size of the US Capital Bldg in Bluffdale, Utah for the sole purpose of monitoring US citizens' emails, phone calls, and anything else related to electronics, for spying on Americans, with I'm sure the taxpayer's money which we willingly give to them in April-thus paying them to spy on US.
  5. Not upholding the Geneva Convention-which the President is mandated to do (against genocides) by bringing Bush & Cheney up on terrorism & genocide charges.

These are just a few examples of my dismay at the Administration.

I am really, really disappointed in the man Obama turned out to be. But I guess there are many things in our lives, where the reality is not what it appears to be & until we, Americans wake up out of our sheep state & pay attention, it will only get worse.
