oh yea! I saw the notice at the courthouse today as well. Funny i didnt even know about before then. HMMM. I think its a good idea to have the open house events at a time when people can actually come.

Ok here it is. If someone is running for public election they must be above reproach. That means they must present themselves someone who cannot be influenced by others. They should have good character and the courage to stand for what they believe in. The rules are in place to keep other officers already in office from trying to “influence” their own beliefs onto the person elect. So maybe it was a birthday dinner or a night of drinking and football. But when that person decided to run they also agreed to certail certain things until the election is over. Thats all!I do hope they are friends, great friends, then maybe we can finally get things done without all the in-fighting that always bungles up our political process.

There are rules in place for a reason. So when they all basically have a secret meeting under those conditions it creates an illusion of inapropriate behavior. Even if there wasnt. So my question is why? I mean, I use to be involve in politics, and when people wanted to meet with me like that it usually meant they wanted me to do something covert or they wanted something from me they didn't want anyone to know about. At any rate I really thing that this should be brought up in the councel meeting.I am curious what is going on.

I'll tell you why we keep bringing this up. For years I had to work every holiday. Thank God thats not happening anymore. But the last straw for me was on Christmas about 4 years ago when I had told my kids and family that I would finally be able to spend time with them and watch them open their gifts. As soon as I sat down and passed out gifts my phone rang. I got called out! The looks in the eyes of my wife and children broke my heart. If it weren't for the fact I didn't have another job to fall back on I would have told them forget it. I'll never forget it. Well there was probably 200 poeople here in Craig that were told to put work before family or dont bother coming in ever again. That is plain wrong!! You know they could of had a volunteer sign up sheet or something for people who may have been home without their family or something. But my point is that its not about saving money,I'm all for that. Its about being forced to choose work or family!

If you guys think the government will ever allow its states to secede you are trully insane ! The states are our governments cash cow. Our taxes and fees are what makes our government work.I'm not saying I like the way the election turned out, but jumping ship is not the answer. I just wonder how long the states would survive without the protection of our military or the support of our government supported programs,Social security, medicaid, state highway funding, etc… I keep having this image run through my mind of an old time southern hillbilly standing on a hill shouting,”The south will rise agin!”Really people! Think it all the way through before you start hollering about walking out on our government. The president is only 1 figure in our government. Congress and the senante are where the real power comes from. Write your congressman! Ask him or her to stand up for us! The president can't do anything without their blessing!
or see results without voting.
