If you pay for the subscription, does that mean you will no longer be bombarded with the advertisements? I tolerate the advertisements because they are what generate revenue enabling websites to refrain from charging users. I certainly don't intend to Pay to tolerate those floating annoyances.

Be careful what you say David. No matter how cautious and attentive you are, being human, You at times could be considered one of the “dumb ones”. As difficult as it may be to imagine, even I have fallen into that category once.
The fire ban is meant to give heightened awareness to the danger of open burning given the current conditions. Don't take offense, it's not individually directed at you.

They should also hold the farmers of wheat, barley, potatoes, and corn criminally liable because alcohol is derived from those crops. People then consume that alcohol and commit crimes that they certainly shouldn't be held responsible for, it's all the farmers fault in the first place! The bar owner can already be held liable for the actions of one of their patrons, so yes the bath salts store owner should also go to jail!

The Drama that the so called “editorial board” spews in this article should fall on deaf ears. The land in question is NOT being given away! It is simply a transfer from one public trust to another. Regardless of whether it is entrusted to the CNCC or the Fire Department it's still public land.
This bully pulpit that the CDP disguises as an “editorial board” allows a newspaper (which is supposed to be completely Unbiased) to ram it's Opinion down everyones throat (note that 3 of the 5 “contributors” are employees of the CDP). Yes there are those opposed to the training facility, but there are also plenty that are in favor of it. Those that were opposed had the chance to make a difference at the district's recent board election. Blaming the poor turn out on the Fire board is ludicrous! Instead it sounds like sour grapes to me Bryce.

“Given this random sampling of different occupations and backgrounds, the board can be viewed as a metric of popular opinion”
     Really?

    Editorial board members:
    • Al Cashion
    — Community representative
    • Bryce Jacobson
    — Newspaper representative
    • Jerry Martin
    — Newspaper representative
    • Joshua Roberts
    — Newspaper representative

When 3 out of 4 members are Newspaper employees, i wouldn't call that “random”

Hopefully the editorial board will make sure next time that they know ALL of the facts before writing such a stupid editorial.”
Sorry dexter you're setting your hopes a little to high on THAT one!
One hopes the board enjoys the taste of crow.

Man is NOT destroying this planet! They may be progressively making it uninhabitable, but this planet was here for millions of years before “man” showed up, and quite frankly won't miss “man” at all as it continues on for millions of years after they're gone.

There is no job more important than teaching our children how to take care of our future! It is mind boggling to think that a baseball player or an actor makes millions, and teachers are expected to eke out a living on a comparitively meager salary.
