$500.00 is plenty. It's too bad they don't impose similar limits to ALL campaigns, especially presidential! Generally speaking, the one who spends the most wins.
I wholeheartedly disagree with your statement "Unopposed races simply do nothing for the public good"! Mayor Jones has done more than an "admirable" job, on the converse he has done a stellar job, and if it ain't broke, don't fix it!!!
I find NO humor in the rudeness that cell phones have contributed to this modern era. Not to mention the threat they pose to drivers who are actually paying attention to their driving, and are run off the road by others idly chatting on their cell phone.
and besides, legalizing pot and taxing it at the same level as alcohol would MORE than pay for the $750,000,000,000 bail out plan, bring the social security and medicare funds back into solvency, pay off the deficit, and give politicians tons more money to squander.
hmmmm who might that be directed at DV8 LOL
Hey Deter!! Yes I have been paying attention. There are already laws on the books to deal with this very situation. We simply need to enforce them!
Good Lord how long are we going to kick these dead elk?
Every time some one says "There ought to be a law." in essence what they are saying is that they should further limit/take away the freedom we now have. Freedom that thousands have died to protect.
There are people at the Federal, State, and Local level who are paid (quite well I might add) to do nothing but pass new laws. At what point do we say, "you've taken away enough of our freedom already please stop."
But not to worry there will always be someone who wants the GOVERNMENT to take care of EVERYTHING and they will say "there ought to be a law", so I'll say it.
There ought to be a law that says NO MORE LAWS!!!!!!!!!
One hopes that everyone is satisfied that this was on the Front page.
