Every time some one says "There ought to be a law." in essence what they are saying is that they should further limit/take away the freedom we now have. Freedom that thousands have died to protect.
There are people at the Federal, State, and Local level who are paid (quite well I might add) to do nothing but pass new laws. At what point do we say, "you've taken away enough of our freedom already please stop."
But not to worry there will always be someone who wants the GOVERNMENT to take care of EVERYTHING and they will say "there ought to be a law", so I'll say it.
There ought to be a law that says NO MORE LAWS!!!!!!!!!
One hopes that everyone is satisfied that this was on the Front page.
Do you know what DAM stands for?................................................................Mothers Against Dyslexia
I don't believe he is asking for your support als362, he is simply thanking the ones that disagree with you.
As if there aren't enough laws on the books already. As the Mayor stated all that needs be done is enforce the already existing laws.
I was a student of Elsie Wingo's in the late 60"s, she retired shortly after that. I'm sure having me as a student convinced her that it was time for retirement *grin
freeman, that was TOTALLY uncalled for!!!!!!!
als, one hopes that one day when you suffer the loss of someone you LOVE dearly your loss is met with compassion instead of the blame you are casting. It's too bad that the caring parents you refer to didn't teach you some of that compassion!
Kerry, the best way to make it harder for criminals to get guns is to shoot them with your assault rifle before they steal one.
What a novel concept.....let your children go OUTSIDE and play. (Taxpayers don't have to fund that.) When I was a kid the WORST thing you could say was "I'm bored". My parents has PLENTY of chores they could assign to keep you from being bored.
