The problem with a person like this having to come up with a column weekly is after a while it ceases to be humorous and becomes idle babble.
David, When "turning an aggressive driver in" all one needs to do is report their license plate number. When the bicycler is at fault.....Um he was riding a red bicycle, and was wearing this rediculous looking spandex outfit, oh and he had on these really weird shoes. To fund the expansion of road shoulders, and bike paths, I see no problem with requiring a license plate/registration fee. The bicyclers scream that they have the same rights to the road as drivers (although they don't seem to think that the same rules apply to them) so I believe that they should pony up and help pay for them.
Your entertainment should NOT be government/taxpayer funded! Recreation is a function of the private sector. Ask the people who are building the movie theater and those that built the bowling alley where their funding came from. If there is enough profit incentive/interest, the private sector will build a recreation center. The taxpayers on numerous occasions have indicated that they DON'T want their tax dollars spent on this boondogle, so please give it a rest. Thank You.
No taxslave, I wouldn't consider myself a mighty hunter. I chose that handle because as a child it was directed at me as a disparaging title. When I grew older and was browsing through the dictionary, I found great humor in the fact that it was in actuality a very noble title. The humor returned when you again used it as a negative title for the masses.
Hey taxslave look nimrod up in the dictionary
$500.00 is plenty. It's too bad they don't impose similar limits to ALL campaigns, especially presidential! Generally speaking, the one who spends the most wins.
I wholeheartedly disagree with your statement "Unopposed races simply do nothing for the public good"! Mayor Jones has done more than an "admirable" job, on the converse he has done a stellar job, and if it ain't broke, don't fix it!!!
I find NO humor in the rudeness that cell phones have contributed to this modern era. Not to mention the threat they pose to drivers who are actually paying attention to their driving, and are run off the road by others idly chatting on their cell phone.
and besides, legalizing pot and taxing it at the same level as alcohol would MORE than pay for the $750,000,000,000 bail out plan, bring the social security and medicare funds back into solvency, pay off the deficit, and give politicians tons more money to squander.
hmmmm who might that be directed at DV8 LOL
