competition! Keeps businesses honest… i.e. cleaner toilets! Seems that when you're the only one in town service doesn't matter, but when you throw another one in the mix it makes them both keep to their business promises & better for our community.
Dave-could end up that the community isn't very happy with the way the toilets were serviced this year & thus next year have a part in the final decision, regardless of a $5 difference! Or maybe your service wasn't the best over the last few years… Rather than pointing fingers & doing the 'he said, she said' thing… buck up! Focus on your business & customer service this is just making you look really bad!
Quality of Service is hopefully a part of the bid review process! I couldn't even use several of the toilets at the Whittle Da Wood a few years back because a large # of them were so full it was disgusting… because of that I haven't attended the last few events long enough to find out if the service was better. While I'm only a small 1 person, I just want to say that a 'bad 1st impressions are hard to forget.” But not impossible if the person, business, etc. is worth it.

Where are other people putting the snow then (not all of the residents have huge yards, snow blowers, 4wheelers with plows, etc.)? I must be the only one when leaving my house that has to 'gun it' so I don't get stuck in the nice plow made mountain at the end of my driveway! If someone intentionally is throwing snow out in front of moving vehicles call the cops! Otherwise I think most citizens pay attention & put the snow where they can responsibly.

Upper management has a very difficult job ahead of them, reversing years of bad publicity to bring the community back! So this means that people that have been employed during the years of bad reputation may not necessarily like the changes & won't necessarily see the need for them, I believe the saying is if your not part of the solution you are part of the problem! Change is necessary… change is also scary for most! Bottom line for the hospital has to be protecting the safety of their patients!
I nearly lost a family member because of the laziness of a member of the TMH staff to perform a doctor ordered test; all because it was close to 'quitting time!' The quick thinking of other family to have the doctor called immediately getting them tested immediately the following day (way before quitting time) caught the dangerous/immediate surgery required issue! The attitude of that staff was not that of what I expect from a medical professional!
So, if the upper management makes the proper changes to bring about a safe hospital then they should be congratulated! While remaining somewhat sympathetic to the long time employees the bottom line will & should remain 'Patient Safety'!

I'm glad to see the hospital publicly acknowledging this issue! Let's just hope there is follow through with these intentions & all departments will be evaluated to assure that they can come through on this promise. It'd be a shame to have all the focus just go to the ER, there are other departments of the hospital that require as much if not MORE attention in regards to customer service & quality of staff!

Thank you! I unfortunately have had similar experiences around town. Growing up I remember mom giving us a run down of rules prior to entering the bank, store or other public place! Stay by her, don't yell, etc. 'Or Else!' I would have been embarassed to be seen out with any of these disrespectful youths when I was their age, raised military you respected others around you especially the adults.
I also would like to acknowledge that I know several teenagers that are respectful and use common courtesies in public places, school and home. However the bad always seem to overshadow!
