3canines do you understand the type of work Romney was doing? He was not handed viable companies. He was mostly restructuring companies in serious financial trouble and on the verge of bankruptcy. Looks like you need to do some research of your own - and stay away from the likes of cnn, msnbc, etc.

Obama is destroying this country bit by bit. If you don't see it you must live under a rock - or simply have your head filled with the barrage of misinformation by the very biased mainstream media. They are in bed with Obama. My advice, do some research of your own. Look at Obama's track record and his lack of accomplishments. Even his beloved Obamacare that was shoved down our throats does not have the support of the majority in this country, and is now being challenged in the supreme court.

@kathleenpost, I'm going to assume that you only walk or ride a bike and do not use any fossil fuels of any sort. I'm also going to assume that you agree with wasting billions on “green” energy companies that were ill conceived and wasting our hard earned tax dollars. Simply saying you want the country to go “green” does not make it so, and it certainly won't work if the government is pushing it. I'm not anti-green energy, however you can't throw money at an idea and simply wish it to work. We need companies to jump in with their own $$ and innovations. Obama's anti-fossil fuels agenda is crippling this country.

Though I'm not a big Romney supported, I'm very hopeful that he wins and his business background gets this country back on track. Obama has his own agenda going, he has not devoted the time and energy he should have to help this country get back on its feet and back to work. He's going to go down in history as the worst president ever - yes even worse than good old Jimmy Carter.

I agree 2% is better than 0%. I'm also betting that if the law had been allowed to stand, it would have weeded out a lot more. I think we need some new judges… but that's a whole new discussion.

Sure alcohol may be legal, but when a person is supposedly destitute and relies on public assistance, why should our tax $$ be funding drugs or alcohol? I'm not opposed to helping folks that truly need a helping hand, but our system is being overwhelmingly abused. It needs to end.

Airborne, the bottom line is if I have to work my ass off and pay taxes and be tested, then I believe recipients of my hard earned money should at least prove that they're worthy of my $$. If you don't believe that's fair, then I don't want to pay taxes either and I will choose who receives help from me.

I will say it again, I hope all states wake up and figure out how to cut out the druggies and lazies from getting my hard earned money. If that sounds harsh, too bad.

I'm aware of what happened in Florida and believe the judge was wrong in his ruling. Why does it not violate an employee's rights when they have to be drug tested to keep their job, but it does if they get free money? This is so wrong.

I absolutely agree that any recipient of public assistance should be drug tested. No free money for druggies and drunks. Plus testing will save money in the long run. I'm sick and tired of my heard earned money being used to support people that should be working. By drug testing, then we can at least weed out the abusers of the system. All states should institute drug testing.

I have to agree with the above comments, Craig is not a tourist destination and after 30+ years of living here, does not appear to be heading in that direction. We offer a few unique and wonderful attractions, like hunting, rafting (in western Moffat county), dude ranches, etc., but we do not offer activities, shopping or restaurants that appeal to the broad masses.

I travel often and I can tell you that the signs, brochures and other info in airports does not lure me to do anything else. My focus is always on getting to where I want to be. If I am lured to try something unplanned it does not come from airport signs, it will most likely come from local referrals - and even that isn't always reliable, especially if someone is making a buck to promote that referral.

If this community truly wants to promote themselves to tourists, I suggest using some of the online tools and websites to educate people as to what we have to offer. I plan all my trips from info I gather online from sites like Trip Advisor, as well as specific local sites in the areas I wish to travel to. Look at the resources that Steamboat has online, Craig & Moffat County don't even come close to offering the type and quality of info. Local organizations that should be concerned about their online image, haven't been and have always gone for the cheapest solution. They aren't kept up-to-date - and it shows.

I also agree with the statement above that we should first focus on non-tourism aspects of our local economy.

We used to have a Burger King and Taco John's, a long time ago! I also remember a couple very good steak houses from back then, and I still miss them!

No more fast food chains or Mexican restaurants please. Let's work on getting a good steak house again, with seafood would be good too. Outback would be a nice choice.

Wow! I'm going to give the DP mod the benefit of the doubt and assume he or she made an error and intended to remove greenie52's comment - not dentedfender's. I saw the deleted comment and all he did was let greenie know that his comment was uncalled for. I would have posted something similar, since greenie's is inappropriate.

A big congrats to the Webber's on their success and excellent BBQ! Way to go!
