you sound a little testy cmommy? are you part of the family being protected? I understand why his name isn't being used in the paper, but really, it is only natural for people to wonder who it is. I also understand how hard this must be for his family to deal with. It's not going to be an easy time for them at all in the next few months or even years. I hope they are strong enough to handle it.
I thought this move had nothing to do with problems between the VFW and the City over the park. I thought I read in the paper when all this started being a problem between the two, that Whittle The Woods was being moved because it had simply out grown the park?? Now you are saying different?
Ok, so they will provide the patch and gum to employees. But what about the patient who smokes. What are they going to do for them. No smoking on hospital grounds means very unhappy and cranky patients and sometimes forcing them to go cold turkey can cause health problems. Yes, laugh if you want to, but I know a couple people who decided to quit and going cold turkey caused them to have other problems. Now I realize we all need to get healthier, myself included. But if I were still a smoker and couldn't smoke up there, in an area reserved for smokers, I'd look at going to a different hospital.
Very nice letter Mrs. Arnett. I know several teachers and they talk often of the frustration of government involvement in the education system. I think most of them feel this no child left behind has caused a lot of problems for everyone, students and teachers alike.
Jordan, I personally would think that because you are serving overseas you shouldn't have to worry about your car not having tags. Seems to me it use to be that if you were in the military and needed to store your car like you are doing, I think as long as it was up on blocks or some such thing, it was fine for not having current tags. But that was a long time ago and I'm sure someone decided that serving your country or not, you shouldn't get away with such things….. ;o) Hopefully this gets straightened out for you soon. And thank you for your service
WrestlinRockies, I find your comments about Archie to be very rude. I really think you could have made your point without saying some of the things you did. I am neither for nor against this nightclub. We no longer go to bars or if we do, it's for happy hour and a bit of visiting with friends before the night life gets going. I also don't know the man who wants to open this nightclub, so I don't know whether to believe any of the comments about him or not. And it doens't matter what I think anyway. Living in the county doesn't allow me a say in what the city does even if it might affect me!
I didn't even know when the election was. Had I known, I'd have been down to vote. I had read a while back that the election was coming up, but didn't mark the date down and since the paper didn't seem to do much on-line advertising of this election, I'm sure many people missed it for that very reason. I'm not saying it's the papers fault for the low turn out, but for some strange reason this election always skates by under the radar and very few show up for it. I would guess too that many of those that voted were Craig firemen!??

good for you Pete. I think many of us feel the same way. It's not the center itself, it's the location.
