Buff_bronc_fan, so you are saying that because we need the revenue, then we should allow him to go ahead and continue with his application?
I have to highly disagree with that theory. He lied on his application and I wish they could file fraud charges against him for it. I would also like to see his application denied outright. Craig has enough liquor establishments available and we do not need another one in town. Especially one so close to a school zone. I will be stopping by on my way home to sign the petition against this and also contacting whomever I need to contact so that they have yet another voice against this.
How cavalier of this applicant to just shrug his shoulders when he was caught lying the last time, turn around and refile with the corrected information. That tells me that he is not of good enough character to run a responsible establishment to begin with.

I agree with you Ranger. I have no intention of voting for Obama. I didn't vote for him last time either.

I think that Ms. Hampton is a survivor of this crime, not a victim. Hooray to her for helping raise the awareness of this kind of crime and sharing her story with others. Some people wouldn't be so strong. Being a survivor makes you who you are and not a victim of the circumstances that happened to you.

Tired of SSDD. I have a question because I personally have never heard of a sunset clause…how do we go about doing that? Can we insist that this is written into every new request for a new mill levy? Do we have the right to do that? Or is our only option to vote down any new request that does not have this clause? Is this our way out of a mill levy increase? Please explain how this type of clause works. I need educated. Thanks

I agree with Ranger520 and smalltowner. This is just a flagrant waste of community resources where the people of this county were misled into thinking they were voting for the fire department to use the funds for more equipment or to update the existing equipment.
Hayden has a perfectly good facility and it seems to me that the fire department here has to use this money or be caught in a big fat lie. I live out on that side of town and do not want this near my house, thank you very much. I didn't vote for the increased money for the fire department and if I were to be asked right now, I would have to say that I am disappointed in the way that whole thing was handled to begin with. It seems to me that the taxpayers have had the wool pulled over their eyes. The vote on that was a while ago and nothing can be done about it now.
Suffice it to say that it is water under the bridge and cannot be undone. But remember this, fire department…the next time you come to the taxpayers, begging for money, we are going to remember this and vote accordingly. The residents of Moffat County and the City of Craig, have long, long memories. Be aware that I know that I will hesitate and so will all the people I know that do vote cause I will make sure they hear about this. Lesson learned this time, but next time, it won't be so easy. Fool me once, shame on you…fool me twice, shame on me…

Wait a minute…these people have put their lives on the line for your butt and mine. They have placed the value of their lives beneath ours so that we can live the life we live. They have contributed numerous good deeds to this community. Their sacrifices were more challenging than you or I can consider. They have served our country in ways that I can only imagine. They deserve the utmost respect for their service. Let's keep that in mind.

You are treading on dangerous ground when you suggest what a person do with their own property, especially in this area. If you don't like how it is being handled, make an offer to buy it and fix it up yourself. Otherwise, stop looking at it. You don't own it and you don't have a say in what it looks like unless you do own it.

Correct me if I'm wrong here: As a property owner, if I own a lot, as long as I am not bending or breaking the rules or zoning, then I can do or not do whatever I want to with my property. That's my decision to make…so if I am correct, then the owner of this lot, according to the editorial, is not breaking any rules or zoning. He doesn't have to do anything with this lot. If you don't like it, then give him a fair market value offer and see what he has to say about it.

I agree with Allen…sentence these pigs to death and make it happen quickly. Make an example out of these guys and it will stop.
