Not sure who Ryan Hess is, but if he's tall, dark and handsome, then that's me! I never have been involved with law enforcement, except for a short stint as a bouncer at a gay club in college. Anyways, I have been involved in healthcare both directly and indirectly for the past 10 years, and have followed Joel Miller's rise and fall here in Craig. But this isn't about about me.

I hope that clears it up for you Bluemoon81625 (or Candyman, Dr. Feelgood, or as you prefer, Joel Miller). I've made my arguement and really see no reason to continue this mindless banter. I look forward to the results of the investigation.

Let me echo another's comments that it's not libel if it's true. But I agree that name calling serves no purpose. So, let's look at some facts.

Miller was investigated and written up by the state medical board for misprescribing neuropsychiatric medications to multiple patients in 2008 (report available to the public on the DORA website).

Miller was suspended from working in the TMH Emergency Room and asked by the medical staff to surrender his privileges at The Memorial Hospital, and cannot admit or manage patients there. (Feel free to check the minutes from TMH board meetings.)

It is well known that large amounts of narcotic medications that Miller has prescribed have found their way into the community, which poses a public health threat. I suspect that's what started the federal investigation.

I fully trust that this investigation will reveal the depth of what's going on and that Craig will be a much safer and healthier place because of it. Thank you to those investigators who have working on this. If Miller has nothing to hide and his prescribing is entirely appropriate, then he has nothing to worry about.

Doctor Feel Good, The Candyman and (my personal favorite) Miller the Killer deserves no apology. Mustang is completely right in calling for Miller to apologize to his patients and to the citizens of Moffat County. Long known as the busiest drug dealer in Craig, it is high time that action was taken to investigate his "medical" practice.

Seems to me that anyone who doesn't support improved training of our EMS, in this case our fire department, is a raving lunatic. But, let's not let common sense get in the way of some good entertainment. Next up, stranger520......

justoncrack 2 years, 3 months ago on Should the City of Craig exercise eminent domain on Craig City Park if a lease agreement cannot be reached with Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4265?

Allen, I'm actually supporting your usual views of less government intrusion. Government obtaining ownership of private land without the consent of the owner just because the government felt like they weren't dealt with "fairly" rings of socialism. You're not a socialist, are you?

Whether or not the VFW is keeping with the spirit of the agreement is a completely separate argument than whether eminent domain is an appropriate use of government power. Should the park stay a park for the public to continue using? Absolutely. Is the threat of eminent domain an appropriate avenue to pursue this? Absolutely not (unless you're a socialist).

Not that common sense ever applies in these online arguments, but we'll try. Simply put, our fire department is using money they already have to upgrade their training facilities so that they are better prepared to protect the rest of us.

I fully support the fire department. They willingly risk their lives to protect us, and the very least we can do is give them our support. Just like there's no atheists in foxholes, there won't be any complaining about improved training facilities when it's your house on fire.

TMH employees are not going to comment. Dissent in the ranks is not tolerated. The administration has proven themselves spiteful, and criticism is considered treason.

However, the lack of comments in support of TMH administrators speaks volumes.

I couldn't agree more with the above comments. I'm familiar with at least a couple of the former employees nopitty references, and to describe TMH's behavior as horrible is an understatement. Oyvey nails it with disgusting and embarrassing.

This is our hospital. Our taxes support it. Our neighbors, friends and families work there and are treated there. It should represent our community in a positive way. Unfortunately, many of us (probably half the town) chose to go 45 miles to the east to receive care because of our disgust with TMH. That number grows every time they mistreat another employee. Not by one, but by 50 to 100 friends and family of that employee.

So yes, TMH had a record profit year on the backs of nurses, techs, therapists, medics, docs and the staff that make it all possible like housekeeping, maintenance, transcription, billing, supply and dietary. And yet Jennifer Riley is the one accepting the award.

Maybe the recent turnover on the hospital board is a sign that the county commissioners are starting to take back control of our hospital and start holding folks accountable for their actions. I hope so, but It starts at the top.

For now, I'll continue the trek 45 miles east for my medical care. TMH has a long ways to go to earn back my trust. Not by awards or slick advertising, but by real actions by the administration.

Not that the Secret Service needs help, but I'd suggest that als362, ranger520 and Allen Hischke are all the same guy. Just saying...
