Ray maybe some of those truckers need fuel or something to eat. There are none of those amenities on first street.

They are looking for any reason to pull people over, cause its all about money. they aren't going to write a small infraction., when they can write a bigger that will get them more money. I got a speeding ticket one time, I had the car about 10 days at that point. The officer wrote me for 64 in a 55 my speedometer showed i was going 55. I took the car to Ford in Gj twice, the speedometer was defective out of the factory. they had installed the wrong gear setup at the factory. Ford fixed it free of charge. I still had to pay the ticket because the policeman, the da and the judge all told me they just had to prove i was speeding it didn't matter why. thats where its messed up. Part of the problem is we live in a relatively mild community. you take your seatbelt off and lean over in the front seat in california that will get you shot out there. Thats unfortunate but true.

Jackie hopefully your daughter learns a valuable lesson. If you are stopped for any reason, Keep your seatbelt on till the officer approaches and ask them if you can take it off to get your wallet purse or whatever. Also keep your hand on the wheel where the officer can see them. nothing wrong huh ? was the air freshener in violation of state law or not? im not saying she did anything wrong but to the outsider viewer the record will show she has had two seat belt violations in a year.

Mrs Danner opened a can of worms? lonelyone where have you been? they were running into the same thing in routt county before any of this came up. So this is not something new , it's an ongoing thing. And as far as I know Elaine and Audrey don't have anything to do with the running of Routt county. The law may be out of date but its still the law. No one is mentioning the fact if this hadn't been caught the feds could have come in an fined the county. Not the offending parties. the fine 2 years salary of the offending party. they don't fine the offender, they fine the county. Isn't the budget short enough already?

my view is they are letting meth dealers go and they are worried about prosecuting this guy. what a crock you dont have to go to law school to know thats wrong.
But this man wanted to be on the city council and help out and didnt know the rules. Thats wrong too. We are losing car dealerships, Sonic delayed coming here. we are in a financial crisis and the CC wants to spend our money on this. makes no sense to me.

Its unfortunate that it takes a tragedy before certain situation are addressed. Steamboat could really use some walking bridges at various points on both ends of the town.

taxslave,taxpayer,james81625, the law is very clear on the appointment. The replacement had to be a republican and they had to live in the same district as Saed Did. If this would have happened sooner the appointment would have only been till Saeds term ended but because we had already held the election and Saed was reelected. the appointee finishes his term and serves the rest of the new term. so anyone met those qualifications they could apply. if you doubt me go look up the law on your own Im sure you can find what you need at the courthouse
