I woud like to ask a question and get the public response if at all possible. My question is why is there a doublestandard between Male Nurses and Female Nurses? When the people go to school in nursing and upon finishing school both the male and Female Nurses must sit and take the same exam to receive their license. In practice however that is a much different situation. Male Nurses are constantly bombarded about going into a female's room and take care of a female without someone being in the room for a witness for both parties. On them other hand a female can go into a male patient's room and take care of a male without someone else being in the room as a witness for either parties. Is this not a double standard that exists today or not that in the nursing field? Thank you for taking time to read and respond to my question.
This is a truly remarkable story. It goes to show that a lot of worring does not always have a bad outcome. Quite often as illustrated the outcome is much superior to anything that we could even have dared to anticipate. But when something happens and the child is not 100% perfect and has some type of handicap we tend to blame everyone and everything. We cannot see 20 to 40 years down the road however when we reach that point it is only then when we realize the awsome blessing that we have been given. It often takes us that long to learn and recognize the love that we have been privilaged to have over the years. A love that would never have been possible if that handicapped child had never entered our lives. So often ts the unforseen blessings that turn out to be the biggest of all blessings. It is In this article about H. Neil Glandville when he points that out. He is the one that points this out and can't seem to wait until the Grandkids know this story. Mr. Glandville you are a truly a blessed man. Thank you for sharing this story.
This poll is something that almost everyone has an opinion on. I remember growing up in Craig when the population was just around 3000. It was a nice place to live and it seemed that everyone knew everyone. The one thing that most teenagers worried about is that if they did something erong their parents knew about it before they got home. But the benefit of growing up in such a small town was most of the friends you had have been life long friends. Also if someone had an accident or was sick everyone knew it and everyone helped out. Their are many other things that are nice about growing up in such a small town. But today with the population getting to be so much more it only stands to reason that the town will grow with the population. Is this for the good or bad for the town? That will depend on whom you are talking to. But we have to accept this as part of this age we are living in. With growth their are many problems that are associated with larger populations. There is more crime in larger populated areas. Everyone does not seem to be as friendly as they were when the town was much smaller. But on the other hand with the larger populations more businesses have sprouted up in town and their are many more places to shop today. All I can say is we must keep up with the times and everyone must work harder to keep the town a great place to grow up in.
While these issues being examined in light of Moffat County youth I would like to point out that these issues are not only the concerns of Moffat County but of youth in this great nation as a whole. No matter where you go today you will find these issues are all too common everywhere. While trying to fix these issues, Moffat County can be an example not only to the state of Colorado but the United States also. I would like to point out that when the adults of today were growing up our parents had many of the same concerns about us. How did we turn out? Consider this question while concentrating on today's youth and the issues they face.
Does it really matter which factor you used in voting for a particular candidate? Did you use the right you have to vote? That is the important question. If you voted I say “Good For You” and If you did not vote you do not have the right to complain if your choice candidate did not win.
Craig_gal I have to agree with you. It appears that all the secret Ballots have gone by the wayside. It is polls like this one that the authors of the polls quite often use to sway voters. I say stop the polls and let the people decide on election day. That is if you feel that you can give the people credit for knowing enough about the issues and candidates to make the right decision. It seems no one wants to give the people any credit for having the knowledge to make up their own mind. Apparently not, that is why they think they need polls.
I feel that the people that propose or pass tax increases should stop and take a look at the History of this great nation. If you go back just 100 years you would find that there was no national debt, very few if any taxes. What has happened? The politicians of this country have gone out of control and feel the only way to get money is Tax the people of this nation. Every time there is some project proposes that needs money the answer is to tax thepeople to raise the money. Look back at Colonial Boston, what happened to the English boat load of tea that was sent this nation? This sparked an action by the colonials because of a tax on the tea. The people of this nation are already being taxed to death. As it now stands the average working individual has to work almost 5 months just to pay their taxes. Where is this going to stop? When are the people of this great nation going to stand up and say enough is enough? If we look at the situation of the world markets today we are in a financial crisis. The dollar today only buys about what 10 cents bought back 50 years ago. While I was growing up in Caig the kids could go to the saturday movie with a quarter and pay the admission price (15 cents) and have a dime to spend on candy, popcorn or soda. What does this cost today? I had a chance to buy a home in Craig for $12,000 back in 1969. That same house today is price around the $200,000 figure. This is but only two examples. So I ask you, why do we need more taxes?
This is a hotly debated question. Under aged drinking is a thing that has been a problem for years and will continue to be a problem. Anyone that hosts a party where under aged drinking is involved should be held responsible for the actions of anyone they serve drinks to. All too often when drinking (both legal and underaged) too many individuals feel that they can handle their booze. I have been a Colorado State Patrolman and I have also been an RN that worked in the Emergency room for over 20 years In a hospital. I am also a minister and have had to comfort (if possible) the individual families of someone that has been hurt or killed because of Booze. Maybe the individual that serves the drinks should have to be the one that tells a parent that their child has been hurt or killed because of the actions on the one they served drinks to. Like I said this is a very difficult thing to answer. Any thing that will aid to control (underaged or legal) should be carefully considered.
From reading the comments posted for this question I see that in my first post I was right about this being the hottest debated topic around. It appears that everyone is either for candidate or the other. There is no in between. It sounds like you totaly dislike one and admire the other or visa-versa. All I can say is check out everything for both candidates and find out for yourself which one is doing what. Don't listen to the candidates or their chosen spokesman but check out their record, what did they do in the past or how did they vote on selected items that needed to voted on. Or check to see if they even took the time to cast their vote. Then on election day go vote, but be the informed voter, not the individual that gets in the voting booth and doesn't know the record of all the officials that are running from local to state.
Lynn I have to admit that this is a great article. You are right in stating that “WE” the people are to blame for many of the problems that we are facing today. In years like this when we are electing an individual for president and various other state and local officials we find that the stories and false statements are running wild. Each candidate accusing the other candidate and their political party of causing all the problems that we face today. If they would look at the record they would find that both parties are responsible for this mess. When Ilisten to the candidates I find that the promises and things that each individual. changes their story or stance on an issue according to the gathering they are addressing at the time. All I ask for is for each individual to take the blame and quit accusing each other. After all we have a multi-tiered government and no one can do anything by themselves. These problems have worked their way up the ladder and We are the ones to blame because we elected these individuals. I say it is time for the population to become educated on the candidates and if you don't believe in the candidate “Don't” elect them. All we have to do is look at histories of other countries and their rise to power and then their destruction is because of power hungry individuals that run the government. So please educate yourself on the facts (I don't mean just listen to what they promise) and their past support or non support of an issue. Then make up your mind and vote for the individual that you feel will do the best job and agree with your beliefs. I say don't vote for an individual just because they are in one of the political party or the other political party. I guess what I am trying to say is don't vote the party but the individual. Please get out and vote on election day and they you will have the right to agree with or disagree with the individual that is elected. If you don't vote then keep your mouth shut. You do not have the right to complain about how the country is being run.
