“The folks who gamble are typically risking money they don't have, consuming alcohol in excess and bring a seedy element”…whatever Linzie.. My 89 year old grandfather rides the senior bus up from Denver to Blackhawk because he gets socialization and gets out of the house since my grandmother passed away. He HAS the money and he hasn't taken a drink of alcohol in 40 years so don't stereo type people that you DON'T know. Going up there once a week is the highlight of his life. Saying what you did is saying my grandfather brings a seedy element. I'm betting he has far more class and knowledge than you'll ever know.

I think you're all missing AJ's point. We don't live in a perfect world….things happen and people steal, it's plain and simple. Take precautions so it doesn't happen, put your stuff away where it won't get stolen.

I'm with both of you…better place, more room, more shade, GREAT food! I no longer stay in town for Grand Olde West Days but I stay in town for the weekend of whittle the wood. I don't have to spend hours looking for everything and/or driving all over town to different events. (I don't go to the car show). Very talented carvers!

Contratulations to you Doug!! I thought that was you in Time Magazine when you were working on the Kobe case. Neal…those 20 years went by really fast and I haven't heard anything as far as a reunion. I know I'm friends with you on facebook and I will let you know if I hear anything-we will probably hear through there first.

My heart goes out to both families. Russell will be greatly missed by so many. He was a great friend to my 16 year old son and I can't imagine the pain his parents and family are faced with. All my thoughts and prayers go out to the families and the many grieving teenagers.

Rucker, why is it just tmerwin that has to realize her actions? They both knew what they were doing, they are both responsible for their actions and I think they both know that now. I'm not defending anybody or saying one is more wrong or right than the other, I'm just saying it took both of them to make this happen.

I read your first comment before it was removed. Made me wonder how you knew so much. But you knew it, why did the paper remove it? Because you knew the story before them? Interesting.

I wonder how many people will be waiting down on Yampa? Hopefully they put signs up or make an announcement on the radio for all the non paper reading people.
