The District Attorneys Office did not offer to reduce any of my charges to misdemeanors, why should they offer to reduce his? Because he is an EX-Craig Police Officer. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time! It would not surprize me if they let him off with a slap on the hand just so as not to bring out the whole truth.

Like I said in yesterday's comments, what about Dusty Schulze? I guess these guys think they are the Three Musketeers! There is alot more wrongdoing in the CPD that has been covered up. Time for a good housecleaning. Starting at the top, with the man running the show.

I remember approaching Chief Vanatta in 1999 and telling him that there was a methamphetamine problem in Craig and that if he didn't do something about it that is was going to get worse. His response to me was that I didn't know what I was talking about. Well, after two people being involved with the task force leaving the Craig Police Department, (let us not forget about Dusty Schulze), why was he not investigated and allowed to quietly leave the Police Department? Maybe this outside investigation should dig a little deeper into the activities of not only current but former members of the Department and the Task Force. I could add that after Operation Public Outcry was completed, the methamphetamine industry in Craig which should have been interrupted only flourished into what it is today. It is of my opinion that the whole Craig Police Department should be replaced and maybe this time we can have a Police Department we can be proud of!

I just want to say that Don Nord is probably dancing in the streets while smoking his medicam marijuana pipe. Take a look at what just happened in Breckenridge, Colorado. It is just a matter of time until smoking marijuana will be just as legal as smoking a Marlboro.

It is a shame that after all of the hard work that is done by law enforcement to bring these suspects to justice, the District Attorney's office slaps them on the hand and offers them a plea agreement in which they will serve only a very small fraction of time, if any at all. What kind of message does this give to those who are thinking about getting started into drug use or drug distribution? What ever happened to the saying “don't do the crime if you can't do the time”? It's no wonder as to why the drug problem is getting worse instead of better.

Nice invention but…..it has already been done. The difficult part is getting the Fed's approval which is very time consuming and expensive. Good luck with the headaches. You might try the Acme sized aspirin. It is one giant tablet and you bite off as much as you need! Now thats an invention!

I just took the virtual tour of the Memorial Hospital and I am very impressed. The one thing I feel Craig needed was a hospital of this caliber to meet the needs of the community.
