i posted this on Karina Weiman: Shocked and amused, and i'm posting it here.
when a "conservative" president is elected, it's on the "liberal" papers...50cal
he was also born in Hawaii, his birth records were opened up...
i can't beleive you posted this editorial (Karina Weiman: Shocked and amused) your news paper is not fair and un-bias. i'm boycotting and all my friends are boycotting. i hope you all loose your jobs.
first off, barak doesn't want to get rid of your guns you ignorant, ignorant person;
he wants to ban assault riffles...as well as he should.
second, he's not going to mess with your coal job; he wants to make it hard to open a new power plant; and focus on making more effective, cleaner energy sources. take a look people, mccain was for the same issues. it is well documented...there's even VIDEO of him talking in front of the senate about it...
it WAS a racist thing for them to put it on the back page, it was a historical thing that happened!!!!
it was the biggest news in the country that day...is that NOT what NEWS papers are all about? the craig daily press is a news paper and yes, it is in moffat county, yes more people here voted for mccain, but our news is supposed to be fair and un-bias.
you saying that your not racist and that comments made about obama that you have said are not racist;
"In fact, I woke up wanting to empty my 401K, take the money to the store and buy all the canned and dry food, bottled water, guns and ammunition I possibly could, hole myself up in my home and wait for Obama’s relatives (aka al-Qaida) to come to America flying first class on Air Force One."
that sounds a little racist to me...his relative "al-qaida"...his closest relatives are his grandma (rip) and his grandpa, who by the way are WHITE!!!! his grandpa fought for this great country of ours.
people don't even know what he stands for, or against. they say he's muslim (which he's not) they say he swore in on the koran (which he didn't, take a look yourself, it's clearly a bible...and btw, it's HIS very own bible) they say he's the anit-christ (take a closer look at the bible, he doesn't fit the mold; i also think this is the most ridiculous ignorant thing being said) and You/people say that he's related to al-quida...GROW UP!
YOU don't even know what he stood for (ie. coal, guns) you obviously just listened to what people had to say instead of researching it yourself.
this town is so one sided it makes me sick.
but i'm here for a COAL job, and it pays good, so i'll stay for a while, but just know...i'm not afraid of my income, it's going to still be here, i'm not stupid...
i DID vote for barak and can not wait until the day you all get over yourselves and realize he IS the man for the job.

is that really all you care about....guns?? i'm sick of hearing people talk about guns. where are your sources.
obama IS for the second amendment. just more strict laws and regulations.
and as for your last comment...why doesn't mccain contribute his own money, he owns 7 homes, he should be able to afford it.

I THANK GOD, that there are people in craig that think like me.
i thought i was alone in this town!!!
i am a christian and i am a democrat...
i personally wouldn't abort, even if i was raped. BUT, i dn't think that the gov't should tell you what you can or can't do with your own body.
i don't think it's murder if it is stopped by a certain time (when the fetus gets a heart beat) which is 12 weeks...women should know by then that they ARE pregnant.
i DO think that the gov't needs to do things to help reduce abortions, like passing the law with hospitals telling rape victims about the morning after pill (which btw is the equivalent of TWO birth control pills). and educating women more on reproductive issues... you may know, but unfortunately there are A LOT of women who are clueless.

i moved here from denver...
i dont like the fact that there isn't anything to do for kids!
i don't like the fact that this community doesn't care what it looks like.
i mean, the "welcome to craig" sign boasts the three stacks at the mine...classy...
we need something like Golden, Colorado.
one that stretches from one side of Victory to the other, that reads "welcome to craig"
we need to do something about around city market (hopefully their corporate will update) we need businesses to repaint...
and BY GOD, we need a new city planner.
this town is all out of wack! houses right next to businesses, buildings being build where they just don't make any sense,
houses being built where they have a nice view of the plant...lovely...
we need a town that LOVES to be Craig. we need something to be proud of!!
i hate telling people we live in Craig now and everyone asks "why"
i want people to say "oh i've driven through there" or "oh, i've been there" and thought it was a cute town.
TAKE PRIDE!!!!! make the town prettier!
