I think that is very sad. Park down the street and walk, go to Steamboat, Meeker or Hayden. Just get help. I have been there. I did not want anyone to know what was going on with me. I made people promise not to tell. Now that I am better I don't care who knows. People are very judgmental in Craig. But, I think you will find more people are like you than not. They are glad to see another individual in the same situation; then they know you are going to be more understanding of them. Once you seek help and find out that there is hope you feel oh so much better. Life does go on, Life is better tomorrow. Just wait and see!Depression is a medical condition just like heart disease or being diabetic. You are missing a chemical in your brain. It is nothing to be ashamed of. But your brain tricks you into thinking it is when you are feeling so crappy. My doctor told me not to be embarrassed because the people that see you at the doctor office are also there for the same reason. They have no room to talk and more than likely won't because they know how you feel.

I would like to know why the concierge at the Memorial Hospital makes more than an EMT??? How sad is that? They have certified people making less money than someone answering their phones?? Hello, how long is that going to last? Communication and Samantha Johnston are two words that DON'T go together. Officer of Organizational Excellence my butt!! Raise the Bar? To where knee level? Then you can kick more people when they are down. I have heard more complaints about Sam not returning phone calls. Then she wonders why people get so frustrated with her. George is just as bad about returning phone calls. How do you ever think you are going to make things better when you can't even face the problems you have. I guess you can keep brushing them under the rug and see if they get resolved. You are in a small town, word gets around….you better get your heads pulled out and start answering to the community and your employees. WHY is the board not doing anything about these issues? You DON'T have management doing exit interviews or surveys. No wonder people are being fired. You don't score us well on your survey–you're outta here!!My daughter of all people (a child) asked me during a discussion about the hospital, doesn't committed to excellence mean you are committed to everyone and making things better? HUMMM? Maybe you should change that to committed to……uh…well lets see how I feel today!

I agree with you calvinhobbs….it is ridiculous to start school up so early in August. Do they realize how dang hot it is in those schools in August? I would love to see a four day week. How much actually gets done at the high school on Fridays anyway? All the athletes are gone so the teachers don't seem to do much teaching….

I just wished out social services in Craig would actually do THEIR job. They pick and choose who they want to help and it is very frustrating. Our county refuses to do nothing about it. I can't believe we only had 10 cases of child abuse in 2008. If you worked in the schools or with children you would know that there is a heck of a lot more than that. It's just that nothing is being done it.

I think a four day school week is an excellent idea…Baggs and Hayden do this. I believe they add a little extra time to the four days that they go. We could look to them to see how this works. A lot of children are already gone on Fridays with extra curricular activities. Hardly any work is done at the high school on Fridays. I feel that it is a wasted day there already. I agree with calvinhobbs that sports are self funded already…not much to cut there. Hopefully our district will take a look at this as one of their options.

I believe that organizations should publish how they spend their money too. I guess we would have to go their board meetings to find out. Unfortunately money seems to be getting stolen more and more around here. They should never leave one person in control of soo much money….

Obviously you aren't around youth much are you sledhead004. Have you ever been in the park in the summer and looked under the bridges, have you ever been to Woodbury or Loudy Simpson and looked in the culverts, have you ever drove by a church here in the summer and seen a man laying on the grass or table? Do you know where the money is going or are you just commenting on something you know nothing about?
