Missouri Governor Signs Tough New Immigration Law
On July 6th, Missouri Governor Matt Blunt signed into law legislation designed to crack down on illegal immigration. State lawmakers passed the bill on the final day of their annual session under a threat from Blunt that he would call a special session if no bills were passed. (Associated Press, July 7, 2008) The bill passed by wide majorities, with only legislators from the metropolitan areas of Kansas City and St. Louis voting against the bill. (Id.)

Oh the memories for me too. Sitting on the sidelines during baseball and basketball games while the favorite sons got to play the game cause mommy and daddy helped out. So you can see it wouldn't hurt if they took out the baseball field too. Sitting in the Classroom and taking the belittling from the teachers cause I wasn't as smart as some.
Now don't worry; I got over all of that and didn't even think about taking a weapon to school and still don't; but then again I don't have a lot of respect for the MOCOHI system of favoritism.

I would hate to venture a guess as to what it cost the taxpayers to get an engineer on site to evaluate the condition of the pool. I sure hope it wasn't another $20,000

Isn't it funny that when I went by the American Legion on Tuesday morning on my way to work that the Flags were still at half mast.

Someone had mentioned this to me and I didn't know if they were pulling my chain or what so I looked it up and found this:
“The Flag in Mourning
To place the flag at half staff, hoist it to the peak for an instant and lower it to a position half way between the top and bottom of the staff. The flag is to be raised again to the peak for a moment before it is lowered. On Memorial Day the flag is displayed at half staff until noon and at full staff from noon to sunset.”

Long gone but I would venture to bet that he doesn't stay gone for long. He has it to easy with the courts in Craig.
