So I got a message from Becky Plummer last night that she has talked to the people at the theater and out of respect for our veterans and the ones who lost their lives and or loved ones over there, they will not show the movie in their theater.
Thank you to the owners of the theater and to Becky for being on top of things. and especially a thank you to the veterans.
So the question is, is the theater going to show the movie or not and what time do I need to be down there and do I need my own sign or do you have some available? I guess you can reply here and hope I get it.
thanks for being on top of things.
I know that the City and county don't have to abide by OSHA regulations but how can the road and bridge department manager allow those employees to put themselves in harms way like that?
Shame on whomever is in charge of that operations GET SOME SHORING IN THERE!
I too have a copy of Resolution 2013-65 and Resolution 2013-66. 2013-65 is the resolution creating the Local Improvement District and 2013-66 is the Resolution submitting the question to the residents on the November 5th ballot.
In answer to Mr. Hawks statement about the way it is written there is no end in sight for Resolution 2013-65, it specifically states in the resolution that the total cost of the improvements, exclusive of incidentals, shall not exceed the estimated budget amount of $1,265,046.00.
I would encourage anyone with questions to call me and I will provide them with a copy of those Resolutions.
Does anyone even know when the annual meeting is?
Thanks to the County and City for all the work that they have put into this project. We Mountaineers need to get out and vote to accept this Local Improvement District.
Likewise when it comes to the Presidential elections. We still have to get through the unneeded National Conventions and then the Presidential election in November. (does anyone think that is a loooonnnnnggggg time until that happens). I personally think that neither of those canidates have any idea of what is needed to bring the US back to the top of the world as a super power and a leader in economics.
Fond memories of going to the races. the wife was working it was just me and the boys: off to the races what a way to spend a Saturday Afternoon. I do remember the Jet lineage and that winning.
To bad we have a grand poobaa at the VFW with an egotistical attitude that they couldn't have come to some aggreement on the park so Whittle could continue on as normal. I feel that the move to Loudy is going to be a headache for the public access.
CDP once again reported half a story. Which board member made the motion?
