Well come on out and watch the "big" names saturday! You can see why those young athletes get mentioned. They are very talented, but just like what was stated in the article, they said that their blocking was very good. There was only one 8th grader on offense and 10 7th graders the second half. The defense, which by the way was being played in an 8 man set because that is what SoRoCo uses at the high school, had 3 8th graders. Those young athletes were at linebacker, corner and safety. allowing the 5 front 7th graders the first shot at stopping the bigger, stronger faster 8th grader. which they did a good job at.

Just another positive note. I know all four of the coaches at CMS. They do not care about winning as much as developing the skills they need for high school. There is just such a huge difference in 7th graders and 8th. The one big running back south routt had was so much bigger and stronger than the majority of the 7th graders someone was going to get hurt. everyone did play, I was there. It may not have been a huge amount of play time but they played. Maybe some of those kids not playing as much as the think they should should worker harder at practice. Last, the last CMS home game is this Saturday at 9 am at the CMS Field.

The building did have a drop ceiling, that was not the tech problem. 1 or 2 outlets per room, no GFCI outlets and numerous were ungrounded, old wires, over loaded circuits, leaky roofs, cracks in the walls you could see outside on. Windows that were so poor a glass of water would freeze if it was next to it over night with the heat on. Drain pipes that ran in the outside walls that froze in November and thawed in March. Rusted out main water lines, A valley roof design on the north wing that leaked since the early 60's and never could get fixed, hi lead and copper levels in the drinking fountains due to 60 yr old pipes, just to name a few. May I ask, how old is your home? 60 years old? How about the car? It becomes cost effective to quit putting money into something and build for the future.

Here is another concern. Who is driving these kids home after the game? The bottom line here is $$$$ the county gets a cut of the sales at the stand. Let the kids play without the alcohol being present. Save the beer sales for that night.

The auditorium and the gym are not apart of the bond. They are remodels that the district said they were going to seek DOLA funding or other monies to fund those. The new MS will save the Gym, Auditorium and woodshop.

I learned gun safety wandering many dog towns in NW Colorado, my children have also. They get to learn how to carry a gun in the field, when you have a safe shot or not. They also get to practice shooting in all types of real world situations, wind, uphill, downhill, off balance etc. Just like they do when they big game hunt. The rodents killed, even though not used as food in my home is used by the birds and other predators. If we list the prairie dogs, populations will rise, predator numbers will increase, more food, more coyotes. Lamb and calving operations will suffer. There already is a season of sort on public lands, lets see how this works out. Why not find a middle of the road solution. Why go to extremes. Why let a few people set the rules for those of us that live here.
