The homecoming parade has lined up in the North lot at CMS as long as I can remember. The new route was in the paper weeks before the parade. The new lot on 9th street CANNOT be used as CMS and Sandrock have school on homecoming. Try moving down 9th street before or after school. As other have said, the route will probably return to the old route, but it is not a parade for the business downtown.
There are other things involved in coaching kids, than just winning. Rusty is doing a great job. The kids are having fun. Being true sportsman and also playing very well. It seems as if this Reina guy just likes to stir the pot. Keep up the good work coaches.
have them follow the same laws as a motorcycle. eye protection, horn, headlight and be a licensed, insured driver. Like others have said, Arizi=ona, wyoming and Montana use them.
What they are trying to avoid is this- “The influenza pandemic of 1918-1919 killed more people than the Great War, known today as World War I (WWI), at somewhere between 20 and 40 million people. It has been cited as the most devastating epidemic in recorded world history. More people died of influenza in a single year than in four-years of the Black Death Bubonic Plague from 1347 to 1351. Known as “Spanish Flu” or “La Grippe” the influenza of 1918-1919 was a global disaster. ” From http://virus.stanford.edu/uda/ Yes numerous people die from those other problems, but in our global society, we now need to be aware of new virus strains that we have little or no immunity to.
It is a matter of give and take. The average CFL has 1.8 mg of Hg(Mercury) for an incandescent bulb it will use and average of 5.8 mg Hg from coal burning plants. In the near future LED bulbs will be cheaper, and no Hg. If you do have CFL's when they burn out, send them to a recycling center. If you break one, check out http://www.energystar.gov/ia/partners…
Nice letter and I agree on the most part. The high school band and choir does an outstanding job, as well as speech and debate, art, FFA etc. The high school athletic teams are funded differently than the band. They get their budget money from the gate of the athletic events. No general fund money. They DONOT get uniforms every year. They are on a rotation 4-5 years I believe for varsity, those are then handed down and so on. I know that the uniform my daughter had as a freshman was 13 years old, and it is still being used.. It is wrong that the band does not have new uniforms though. Keep up the great work all of you at MCHS.
Now the girls team had their banquet Monday. No coverage? They are the 4a state academic champs. All 9 juniors and seniors were named to the all state academic team.
