Thank You Samantha for your great work here. Part of my earlier post was, Is the Daily Press and Morning News going to allow you to put this information out to the general un-computorized public. I do Believe that at this point a new Hospital and a new School are investments in Craig, and the longer we wait the more they will cost. $42million is a scary figure, but I think you have researched and done a great job with the plans. I may drop in one day for one of your tours. Thanks again

Thank You Samantha for replying here. Having listened to my co-workers, you have a tall hill to climb.
I hope that the press gives you all the room you need. Everyone needs to hear the comments here and many more to come. Maybe you will need to do letters to the editor, as the readership here does seem limited. My co-workers and my spouse always read letters to the editor, as do I.
With the school and hospital both asking for tax increases, it is a hard pill to swallow. Personally having attened Craig schools,(as did my children) I know they need constant upgrade, and I already plan to vote for that, but a hospital is also a good thing. I am at this point leaning towards it also. The information presented in the next few months will be critical if either is to pass.
Good Luck

Thank You George and Samantha. How many services are planned to go to the new facility. Once I read in the paper that, laundry, kitchen, some none medical(but still very needed) parts of the hospital were not planned for the new hospital, in the long run will that be cost effective. or am I all wrong on that.

I have lived in Craig my whole life, and only remember going to the drive-in movie a few times as a child and a couple when they tried to bring it back. it has been an eyesore and a fire hazard for a few years now. Glad that they cleaned it up some, but also sorry to see a gravel pit take its place.

I guess I havent seen the ad referred to, but I am offended by non patriotism. I am very proud that the “WALL” is in Craig and will be proud to work at it.
i was offended by a picture and caption that this newspaper ran on Memorial Day, regarding a family paying respect to the Flag passing. there was none visable. I wrote a letter to the editor, but they have never printed it. proud to be an ex militaryman of the united states of america

telling my age, 53. I was born and breed here myself. I have seen many parts of this world and prefer coming home to Craig. if you are gone for more than a week, coming over the top of Rabbit Ears and looking into the Yampa Valley give me chills, knowing I am close to home. I am not a fan of Steamboat (being a bulldog) but it is in the Valley. I am a Proud alumnus of MCHS.
This accident was unfortunate, but God had a reason for having that Girl here for a season. we dont know the reason and probably never will, but HE makes all things turn out good.

This house will belong to Micheal and Sara Burkett. They have put alot of sweat equity into the house, he is doing most of the finish work, and she helped with the demolition and rebuilding. It is too bad that the house has taken so long, but there were unforseen problems along the way. Hopefully another HH house could be built using alot of the materials that were saved from this house, providing they can find a building site.
There were 4 families that initially applied for the house, but Burketts were the only ones to meet all the qualifications in the end. I am not sure of those.
HH retains some rights to the selling of the house for years to come, it would have to be approved by the board. My family contributed many hours to this house and hope that another one can be built soon. Anyone with more questions or suggestions can attend the HH board meeting. they are posted in the daily press
