Several years ago a county wide junk and trash law was attempted. It was thrown out by the commissioner in office at that time. Perhaps now is the time to try to get it going again.

Patrick talks about the duty of fair representation being in a contract. NOT TRUE! That is a federal law. In that law it does not imply that unions must defend the nonpaying freeloaders it is mandated. You said that you would stand up for individual rights until it hurt someone. I think paying members having to pay the way for nonpaying bums IS hurting someone! Now is the time for you to sit down and read all the things people have written back to you over the last week. If you will just read and quit trying to justify your appearant need to not pay dues and take a free ride off the back of an honest worker, you would see what the good union members of this area are saying to you.

Patrick is the absolutely most misinformed person that has ever written a letter to the editor. He has no idea how unions work or what the law states. After reading his many stupid comments here it is obvious to me that he wishes to be one of the freeloaders I mentioned in my letter. Patrick you are an IDIOT!

Just to let you know Pat, many people within my local have congratulated my on my letter today. They include, several stewards, and the business manager. So I will take it from these people that I know what I am talking about and not you. Everyone that patted me on the back agreed with me that you are out to lunch.
Also you need to learn to recognize the difference between anger and the facts. It is obvious that you don't know the facts.

als362 8 years, 1 month ago on Do you think there is a parking problem downtown?

I think it is not the walking that is wrong, no one minds a little walking, it is the parallel parking. It is hard to get in and out of a spot, and you risk a much greater chance of dinging a fender than when angle parking. Not only that if the parking on Yampa Ave. was angled, the parking capacity would about double. If people are concerned about crowding the traffic, then angle park only on one side.
