National Park Service, Moffat County Sheriff's Office working to locate missing rafter near Dinosaur National Monument June 25, 2016
I agree with another ordinance to punish those that buy drugs and alcohol for minors. The man that bought the alcohol for this child should be glad I am not the judge, I would find a way to put a murder charge on top of the other things he is now charged with. That said I also believe that the parents must be held accountable for a portion of this as well. Had the child been at home, in bed where he should have been, he would probably be alive today. When I was this age, if I was not home at that hour of the morning, my parents would have had every officer available looking for me. And when I said I was going to stay at a friends house they called the parents and made sure that was the case, and that parents would be there during that time.
I believe that Jackie Welch would keep her animals on her own property, this issue would never come up. If you are not responsible for your own animals, then you will force me to take responsibility for them.
gem, you must be the stupidest person ever. Just because you think Barback Osama is going to ban "Just Assault Weapons". What makes you think he won't define a BB gun as an assualt weapon? You have no abillity to think!! If there are no more power plants built, where are you going to get your electricity from when the wind is not blowing, and at night? If all you fruit cakes want this so-called green power, then that is all you should get to use. That would ease the load on the grid enough so there would not be a need for more power. By the way, if this dirty power is so bad, why don't you just have Yampa Valley come out and disconnect you? If you did that then you would no longer be contributing to the dirty power problem. Stand up for what you think at your own expense first. YOU ARE AN IDIOT!!!!
I am so tired of people constantly bringing up this rec center business. Don't these people get it? How many times do they have to read negative responses to this issue before they understand that this is not something people want to raise taxes for? How many options need to be shown to this group, before they look in another direction? Many funding options have been suggested in the last several months either in letters to the editor, or in the comment lines here. Yet, the only thing these idiots can think of is taxes. If these people want this facility then they had better start to look at other ways to fund it besides taxes. If they are so one sided that they cannot do that, then they should just quit now, and not waste any more time on it.
His picture should be on the back page on not in print at all.
Good for you Monty, I agree completely. Fifty years at hard labor would be a very good deterrant for people that commit these types of crimes.
I agree with Globe. Nobody held a gun to Culverwells head and told him he had to be a rancher. This was his choice. Just as it is my choice to work where I work. Both choices have inherent dangers, risks and rewards. If ranchers would allow people to hunt on their land for free, they would not have as many problems with game damage. Anyone that earned $40,000.00 to $80,000.00 from trespass fees as he did has no right to complain about a few bales of hay. Especially after the Elk handed him that much money by just being there. I have no sympathy for this person, and would have sentenced him to several years in jail for what he did, had I been the judge.
I wonder if this jerk will want to use the Koran for this oath of office just as he did for his Senate seat? Just one more reason why he should be deported, along with his inabillity to honor the flag or the Pledge of Allegiance. Send him over to the middle east with all the other Osama's
Good for you db1625! It is good to see someone else saying what is absolutely true. That the parents are responsible for their childrens behavior. And I am in total agreement with a stint in jail. But I would put the parents and the children in the cell together. Maybe they would find the time to work out what the problem is then.
If you choose not to join the Chamber of Commerce or the Corn Growers Assn. are they still required to defend you? I would have to say that the answer is undoubtably NO!!! You have no idea what you are talking about because you have a slanted biased opinion and are not looking at the entire picture and what it would do to working people.
