Reading Socialist Networking by Jim Mullen has made me distinctly aware that Craig Daily Press is nothing more than a propaganda machine for Socialism. Socialism is nothing more than a predecessor to communism according to Marx. If you go to http://www.rense.com/politics6/mc.htm you will find out that McCarthy's accusations were mostly correct that communists were affecting US policy in every facet of the government. Look at China and Russia. How well has communism served them. I want you to know one thing, when Russia became communist, a large number of rural people starved to death or ate their own children because their farms were raided by the government for the purpose of promoting Moscow. I can assure you that Craig, America will be pushed aside for the greater cause. Wake up America!
China has been erecting a barbed wire fence between it and North Korea since North Korea's nuke test in 2009. The Chinese thought it prudent to build a patrolled fence to keep refugees from North Korea from coming into China. It is an interesting case study because it is very similar to our situation. I doubt many Chinese people would like to visit North Korea but there are many North Koreans who would like to take refuge in China. It is a one way fence. North Korean are not well known for their ingenuity and resourcefulness. When was the last time a North Korean earned a Nobel Prize? North Korea is better known for its military first principle, mass starvation, dictatorship and the list goes on. It is hard to say whether the Chinese are doing the morally right thing by keeping illegal North Koreans out. However, by erecting the fence, they are protecting their economic wellbeing, political interests, and security.
On another note, it is a slippery slope to generalize and say that all illegal aliens will participate in other illegal activities. However, it would be interesting to see if there is a high correlation between crime and illegal immigration. There have been quite a few high profile crimes that were committed by illegal immigrants.
We should tax everything. We should tax twice. We should tax three times. Wait… That already happens every day. Our income is taxed. Then the leftover money we earned is taxed again by consumer taxes. Also, the people selling us the goods are taxed for property, stocking goods, and for income. Let's tax everybody who comes to town who doesn't live here so that they can pay for our rec. center. Where does it end? There is no free will in this tax except that people who may visit Craig can choose whether or not they want to pay more for a visit here. The economy is in a recession and we want to increase taxes on a luxury item, i.e. tourism in Craig. We should expect that the invisible hand will cause potential tourists to room in other, more attractive locations, which do not have such taxes. If you want a rec. center maybe you should foot the bill of it by donating $4,000,000 like a wealthy group of individuals did to Colorado School of Mines. Besides, haven’t you been to the Trapper Gym here in town?
Most of you would behave like animals without the existence of police. Just like the anonymity of these posts proves, a lot of you are cruel, heartless people that wouldn't be caught dead saying such things to Nancy's face. We have so many laws and so many ways to break them it's funny. I can't tell you how many times I've seen police break the law while driving. Even they can't stay within the confines of the law, yet when ticketed, police are rarely found guilty.
