Go figure another crime committed and another slap on the wrist. If the people that are supposed to uphold the law can't abide by it, then get caught breaking the laws and in the end are not held responsible then why should anyone follow the law. No wonder people aren't afraid of the justice system in America. We truely are home of the free, committ a crime and then go free. In Grand Junction three officers were fired for trashing a homeless camp. What if the cases he was involved in are retried and the criminals are released because of this mans stupidity?? Mr. Johnson should be held to a higher punishment for what he did.

I know things happen to young girls and the best decisions aren't always made but its stories like this that prove that there are responsible ones out there. I went to school with someone who became pregnant her junior year and it changed her life for the better. She like the young lady in this article changed for the better instead of dropping out of school and continue to do drugs she got in gear and graduated with the class. I am still proud of what she did. All to often we hear of girls getting pregnant and dropping out of school, moving from place to place, and not always making the best decisons when it comes to raising a child. Some adults are the same way. It's people like Chandrea that give me hope that our future generations will be brought up with strong role models and parents that show them that yes sometimes life sucks and we all make mistakes but you have to face up to it and change for the better. Learn from those mistakes and become a better and stronger person. Congrats Chandrea on what you have accomplished!!!!

Ok so all of this for a mother who belives her son recieved a bogus ticket? Who cares if they have money or her son is supposedly throwing parties. He got a ticket, he is not the only one to have ever recieved one. Chalk it up to lesson learned and grow up. Just hope it is the only ticket he recieves. I have been pulled over too and all for legit reasons. No one is singled out, tho he was out past midnight which is not allowed. Regardless if he was driving a bunch of drunks around or not he is responsible for the vehicle he is in. Just as I am responsible for knowing where the registration and insurance is in any vehicle that I am driving its apart of being an adult. Take some responsibility for once and act like an adult. You may also want to stop ripping on the cops for doing their job, putting up with whinny people like some of the people in this town would get really old fast. I would give tickets to everyone across the board just to shut some people up so that way no one could accuse me of showing favoritism. Nancy your son is just another teenager that got a ticket, what would have happened if he was just out driving instead of driving drunk people around? Would you still be upset? Just remember that he was not the only one that was pulled over and not the only one that night that got a ticket for something.

Yet again the paper making someone look like a really good guy. Yes he may have helped out with the VNA, he was not much of a family man. Hope he can be more of a father figure than he has been.

from what I have gathered about her opionion on movies is she either lives under a rock, has no taste in movies or has a grudge against the local theater. I watched the Blindside and thought it was a great movie. I don't watch tv that often, yet from what I have seen the Lightning thief is not scifi its fantasy, and it looks like a good movie. Its nice knowing about all of the events in this town, but I can do without having two people commenting on movies, especially when one rarely if ever has had anything good to say aboiut the new releases.

I must say I am truely surprised and thankfull for some of the posts that are here. Obviously not all of the people in Craig are close-minded rednecks hiding behind a book after all. And I must thank those that share the same idea that this country should not be controlled by the followers of said book. I do have some hope that maybe one day people will rule the world and not a bunch of sheep.

Does your bible also state that the only one that can judge any one is your god??? And if this country was made out of people trying to escape prosecution then why are you doing that very thing. Congrats to you for hating, judging or condeming those you dont know but for the simple fact they are gay. I say they want to fight for the supposed freedoms that we have then let them. I don't see you out there with a gun in your hand getting shot at trying to protect your christian ways. Doesn't your bible also say love thy neighbor and treat others as you want to be treated??? Then don't expect any love from me anytime soon and I will gladly treat you as you have treated me. Why don't you worry a little more about your own life and not meddle in the affairs of others?? If gays are going to hell then let them it is their life, not yours. Just how exactly does their loving someone of the same sex directly hurt you?? I am not trying to be disrespectful, everyone has the right to belive in what they want to, but STOP forcing me to fit into the mold that you see everyone should fit into.

Ok so since when does Wall think he's so high and mighty. He too was in office and was given a DUI, is he trying to save face?? I agree that there are always bad people in a position of power and it goes way above local officials, it sucks what Johnson and Brabo did and they should be held accountable. No one should be above the law including Mr. Wall, who obviously has alternative motives for sticking his nose where it no longer belongs. I know Steamboat is no better than Craig when it comes to corrupt officials but they should keep within their own snobby boarders and leave others alone. Routt county can't even staff police in all of their districts so why not point fingers at others at least the other wont be looking at the mistakes they make

I think it is great that this couple has recognized a need for a way that local artists to display their talent. More often than not in a small town there aren't too many avenues for people to express their talents for all to see, but this is definetly a good thing. What better way to help out a local artist but also to give money back into the community!!! Congrats on opening the store I hope it does well!!!!
