Really Ranger?? Who was here in the area first? Not you or your kids. Humans are the invaders, we destroy the habitat the animals depend on. So yes lets kill the animals that bother yes. Congradulations ignorance like your is the reason man is destroying the planet. Maybe we should practice population control on humans? We do on everything else why not us?

I have been to Dr. Miller. Many times in the past. Saying that i will not EVER support him. I know he puts people that have no business being on Phentermine, really you have ten pounds you cant lose? He does not encourage people to change their life style while on Phentermine. Instead people still eat the same junk, but as long as you are on the med you lose weight. Its the equivilent of legal speed. You dont need Phentermine if you have less than 20 pounds to lose, and that is per the medical guidelines I researched. Miller has no business prescribing it, nor does he have any business prescribing the amount of narcotics that he does. He hands out meds like candy indeed. Yet he has confided in me that he wouldnt prescribe one of my family members with known joint problems that needed surgery Tylenol with Codeine because they were abusing it. The family member had a one month prescription that lasted three, yeah sounds like abuse to me! Yes he has done some good but I also know he has done damage. You do not put someone on seizure meds for weight loss. Nor do you put people on multiple psych meds without ever reffering them to a psych Dr. Most people like him because he will do what they want rather than being the Dr. he wants to be their best friend. Which is why most of the people on this discussion board defend him. Other Dr. wont play their game. Isnt the big rule of medicine is do no harm??? Then he needs to go back and relearn the rule, cause from where I stand this investigation has been needed for awhile.

T066J It is an expression. Yes it may be a state but the lower 48 are consider stateside or the main land. I am just glad that an establishment recognizes not everyone eats meat. Hopefully they offer more than just one item that doesn't include something that comes from an animal. Good luck with the business and look forward to trying the food.

Insider you state the Hayden training facility is 15 miles away, incorrect. the training facility is outside of Hayden where the old race track used to be. They are not looking at building a multi million dollar building. Its only $1.5 million not 2 or more. A small price considering the function of the buildings. A conflict of interest in my opinion is having someone on the fire board as well as city council. How unless you were a firefighter would it be a conflict? No business in the community has any direct influence over the FD. Anyone can run for a position. As for you mentioning the problem of the department only getting 1/3 of the people to respond, there are many employers that do not allow there employees to leave regaurdless of the reason. All of the memebers of the FD have full time jobs, through out the county and reaching beyond that. They have to provide for their families as well as dedicate time that they are not paid for training and meetings. They may get paid for calls but it depends on the call who gets paid. The members do a lot for the community and get nothing in return. As for one person not having an impact? It takes one person to start a movement, one person to speak up and get others onboard to make changes happen. If you are not willing to voice it and make an attempt to change something then why speak at all? Even if the attempt does make the change then you know you at least put the idea out there and made people think.

Ok so I want to know what happens when we send members of the dept to Hayden to train when any of your houses catch fire and there is a delay because the firefighters are out of town? You would be outraged and ready to sue someone. What happens if there is an accident while the members rush back to town to help save you or your family and they are injured. It may sound simple but I guarentee if this were to happen you would complain. My suggestion if any of you think you can do better than the board you all so convinently rip apart behind aliases then step up run for the board or shut up. I am not the biggest supporter of the board I do not agree that majority of the same people have been there for years. Yes it is a revolving door with members but unless you can grow a set and run, then keep your comments to yourself. If you need the firefighters in an emergency I would hope you would want them well trained and working as one unit. With them going to Hayden you can not get the same quality of training as you can if you had a local center. If you are not in support of them then dont call 911 and expect them to come a calling cause now that you need them they are good enough. The building is needed, and as for you Insider you need to check your facts before posting, you're showing your ignorance! I see many complaints here but no real solutions…..typical.

The hospital does have a representative in RETAC. The reason they were looking into an outside agency to assess the local EMS agencies is to see if there was a way to subsidize the money involved. Dave and Highway you are both wrong to a point. A patient can refuse to be taken to the TMH ER if it is not trauma related. State statutes require all trauma persons be taken to the nearest facility. If it is a medical person they have the right to refuse transport, as long as they sign a waiver. With signing person agrees to pay the bill however. Insurances will not pay for a transport to an hospital that is at a farther distance when the closest one is capable of taking care of them. To my knowledge the EMS here has never bypassed the local hospital for no reason or just becuase they can. People need to realize these EMTs are risking their lives just as much as the persons when they are transported to a hospital outside of the county. If you stand by your word then please provide proof as here say does not count (even though it seems to be good enough for most). As for the hours you really need to do some research before making a statement of which you have no knowledge of. The operating hours of the EMS is 9am - 9 pm 7 days a week. There was 24/7 hour coverage but it had become to costly to maintain that. Not sure who told you the 6 - 6. All you would have to do is call the hospital and ask I am sure someone could have told you that. The rest of the time from what I have found is staffed, just not in the hospital. These EMTs are scheduled time slots and are responsible for answering the calls. As for EMS making more money for making a longer transport I ask that you provide proof. Insurances only cover so much and there is an increasing amount of people with no insurance at all. I am pretty sure a trip to TMH is a lot less expensive than one to YVMC or St. Marys. So again please provide proof for the claims that you make or keep your guesses and misinformation to yourself

Ok SayWhat, I will say what many others are thinking and if they are not they need to open their eyes. everyone and I mean everyone has broken the law at one point or another. Just because you or your family hasnt gotten caught for it, doesn't mean its legal. So don't try to be self rightous and act like you are perfect no one is, and you do have skeletons in your closet not just the “toys and jackets”. NO one is perfect and if you say you are then you are hiding something. Just remember everytime you point your finger at someone else for what they do wrong, ten more fingers are pointing back at you for what you do wrong. People mess up, and get into trouble some get caught others don't. The way the law is written officers should arrest everyone that breaks a law, whether they are a fellow officer, meth head, teacher, alcoholic or someone at the wrong place at the wrong time. If you get into a fight and the other person doesn't want to press charges you still get arrested for breaking the law. I really dislike people like you who think they can judge everyone no matter the situation. Wake up and grow up. Your just like everyone else, you make mistakes. Your not above the rest of the community just because you haven't gotten caught.

I think it's great when people take interest in local history. I don't think enough has been done to preserve the history in the county, how many more marked graves are out there that people have forgotten about. Its a shame when a family legacy has ended, nothing remains of it to tell how the people lived. It is true you have to be of a different breed to have survived out here in the elements with very little, but people have done it. I like to learn what I can about the area but I have not had much luck in finding a lot. To have someone that is out there doing the research and finding the clues is amazing. I hope you find the missing pieces, good luck!!
