Well buff keep going to yvmc and just hope it's not life threatening. If you wreck hurting/killing someone one the way up because you choose to drive there I hope you can live with that. Not everyone as has a bad experience. Then again as you sound like a person that wouldn't be happy if you were treated like a king.

You shouldnt have to feel like you are being judged for walking or riding your bike. Go for it, you are atleast attempiting to better yourself. You will be judged no matter what you do by someone. Just think of how much better you will feel and look if you keep it up. Those who see what a change you have made may even be inspired to join in rather than make false judgments. As for welfare there are many families that dont use the system and are just as guilty for buying junk at the stores. Families need to make better choices, more so the parents do. If you are unhealthy and eat junk but tell your kids not to, what are the chances they will? Parents need to live by example. Buy fruits and veggies vs. a bag of chips, cookies or ice cream. Use sweets as treats once or twice a week. Eat healthy balanced meals, with larger portions of fresh food. Boxed foods shoud be limited or completley taken out of diets, mac and cheese, frozen meals, canned soups and pastas, and pre made processed foods are loaded with salt, fat, and chemicals. Also limited fast food to once a week or less, acctually make dinner at home. There are websites that have dinner ideas that are fast and inexpensive, so you dont have to use the excuse you dont have time. There are aso ideas for make ahead dinners, you spend one or two days a week cooking for the other three or for. As a parent you are setting up your child for a life of healthy choices or a life of health problems. You dont have to turn into a gym rat, its simple little things that add up. Take your kids for a walk or to the park in the evening or on weekends. Encourage them to play sports, it doesnt have to be school related there are plenty of summer programs. Get out there and hit a ball with them or pay catch or frisbee show them its fun. Excerise doesnt have to be a torture. If money is the issue get other families involved and do group activities. For having a mulititude of hiking/biking trails, parks, recreational sites and other outdoor activities there is no reason people cannot be more active. Its to easy to make excuses or say your to busy but in the end the only person you hurt is yourself.

Thanks for your honesty Jaxx. I do make changes, I have changed how I live and my out look on life and how all things should be treated. I educate people that I know on the cruelty and I have changed some of their prior misconceptions. I am very passionate about things, and I want to change them. But I am sorry the government is corrupt at certain levels and unless people stand up as a whole things don't change. I am one of a few in this community, it is hard when we live in a hunting, farming community. I have nothing against local farmers. Its big corps including factory farming, circuses, etc that my issues exsist. I would have the same respect for others as long as they dont see themselves as superior to all other living things including fellow humans. It is not right that humans value their life above all else. If it werent for the other living things where would we be? If circuses would not treat the animals as objects to be broken into what they wanted them to be it would be a different subject. But to beat, chain, and abuse animals for our entertainment should not be acceptable. It took the government three years to act on the abuse elephants suffered at the hands of trainers by Ringling Bros and that was only after groups such as PETA and the Humane Society hounded them. Its three years to long. The Dept of Ag knows what is going on, but they do nothing about it. Then again how can I truely blame them as a whole when most of the field workers get no support from change from the upper levels? You can only talk into a deaf ear, show proof to blind for so long.

Well its something we can both agree on. What the hell happened to seperation of church and state?? Thats right its the government and they have their hands in everything. People just need to get over it. Yeah right freedom! What freedom?? I cant say something without getting into trouble, worship who or what I want, and now love who I want whether I am straight or gay. Thanks you religious hypocrites, try following the words of your bible. Going to church and praying does not make you christian, actually following the rules does. I say you treat me like dirt dont be suprised when I throw it in your face.

The governent doesnt do squat to change it. As for our reps thats a lost cause as well, sorry but unless you have money, a big name or are tied into a big corp you are nothing. And as for you needstoknow if you dont like our crap dont read the posts so we dont have to read your crap. Apparently you dont care about anything but yourself. Go back to your bubble and leave those of us who actually care about things alone. And yes rodeos are cruel.

Its ok let corey live in their bubble of ignorance, lies and dissapointment. They probably think everyone is out to get them. That everyone lies and there is no such thing as truth. Your right I dont believe everything I read such as the smutt you just regurgitated here. You are however correct about newspaper they didnt report one ounce of truth here about the circus. So go back to your conspiracy theory sites on the internet, or t.v. or other crap you believe in and leave the real world problems to those of us that are informed with the truth, and that actualy want to make a change.

Thank you both for speaking out against the cruelty that this community supported. It is great that people are starting to wake up and realize that this is happening and that they arent afraid to speak out. To support the animals instead of being ignorant to the facts. All the ark foundation is doing is ensuring the survival of animals for future cruel acts against these amazing creatures. Thats it nothing more. Once again I thank you for speaking out.

The USDA is yet another government agency that has their hands full of money from other agencies both government and private that tourture and kill animals. Go ahead and support their cause circusfan. Its people and ideas like yours that keep the truth hidden. Stay within the walls of your ignorance and in your perfect little world where the government is here for its people and do no wrong. The government is full of good people that serve the people and the ideas of said people…………wake up unless your a big corp with tons of money your voice doesnt matter. As for no kill shelters there are bad ones out there, they do the same damages as horders. As for the age of the videos do more research before spouting off on the dates. What the elephants are forced to do is forced upon them. How else does it get done? Show me how with proof of how they are trained if not by bullhooks, shock, ropes and chains? They are not for our entertainment nor is any animal. To rip a young elephant away from its mother is wrong. How is this different from ripping any young animal including a human from their mother for the entertainment of others? How would you feel if it was done to you? There is outrage when humans are mistreated, protests, speeches, yet nothing is done for animals. They are disposable, nothing more than an object. Elephants are very very smart, they do not forget what is done to them. Why do you think they break lose and hurt or even kill their “trainers” during shows. The Ark Foundation is a crock of junk. It does nothing but ensure that there will be a future for the industry of entertainment. If it werent for those of us who speak up for the animals abuse, needless tourturing, and killing would continue. They ave just as much right to live a long happy life as humans do. And thank you Dave for educating your family and allowing them to make their own decision.

Yet people still attended to support such cruelty. May be one should go to the orginizations that contract the circuses and voice their concern. To encourage them to no longer bring such “shows” to Craig. If they do we need to step up and show up to protest the show. This blog is good to get the word out to a couple of people but going out and being not only heard but seen will increase awareness.
