How about memorial stadium? Then ANYONE who has lost a loved one can buy a commemorative brick, paver, bench - whatever - to honor them. In 50 years no one will know Deyo, and this way everyone can be remembered.

I can't believe that there was no mention of our local suicide prevention group in this article! REPS - Reaching Everyone, Preventing Suicide - meets the third Thursday of the month, at noon, at The Memorial Hospital. Anyone is welcome to attend and help local suicide prevention efforts.

Just because there is ice on the lake doesn't mean people don't use it. There's ice fishing, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, etc. You are probably one of those people who hates winter because there's nothing to do.

People have been gored in other CO towns this past year. One was an older lady walking from the house to her car. I don't think shooting them in town is a good idea, but eventually someone will get hurt. I don't know the answer, but it does worry me.

Like you said CindyLou - sad commentary on today's youth, but the apples didn't fall far from the trees! I was at graduation also, and the parents were just as bad - if not worse - than the kids! The parents had the airhorns, the parents threw cans of silly string to kids, and the poppers. The parents clogged the aisles so badly that the graduates couldn't get through!
Unfortunately, when the graduation ceremony begins, there is not a lot that can be done about unruly students, especially when their families and friends are egging them on.

GreyStone, I wouldn't worry too much - if you go back through others' posts, there are people that have more than three removals that are still posting.

Who in their right mind would give a 9 year old pot? Did older kids think it was funny to get a little kid stoned? Seriously - I was out of town recently and there are medical marijuana stores everywhere!

That's why I put “bad” in quotes. Usually the teacher was one my child didn't get along well with or they didn't like their teaching style. Now that you have called it to my attention - I think all of their teachers were pretty darn good!
